She tensed slightly, caught off guard. “A gift wasn’t necessary… I didn’t expect anything at all.” After a pause, she looked away, voice quieter. “But… I suppose I’ve always had a soft spot for teddy bears.”

She shook her head softly. “Not at all, it was thoughtful of you. Though… does this mean every student gets birthday tea? That sounds rather time-consuming.”

She blinked, pleasantly surprised. “You remembered? Did someone mention it?” She sipped the tea, the citrus notes drawing a soft hum from her. “…Thank you, Professor. I’m truly grateful for your kindness.”
