I forgot how much I liked the movies Unbreakable, Split, and Glass. I know they weren't everyone's cup of tea, but I really liked the less glamorous superheroes/villains. They felt more realistic to me. #superheroes

I really wish I could manage to write a novella properly. I always end up writing longer and then force myself to keep trimming and trimming. I think most of the problem is I Iike complicated characters, which usually take more time to understand. #writerproblems #authorproblems

#authorquestion How do you track small things in the narrative? An example is a short repeated phrase. But not one that is repeated a lot to give weight and consistency to the story? Logically, I could just make a note BUT I have a lot of things like that woven in for the readers.

Whew, one release down and several to go. The marketing is the hardest for me, as it is with so many other authors. Mainly because it's a different part of your brain being used and a different kind of process. I know it's necessary, but I don't think I'll ever be excellent at it. #authorproblems

But who is the King? He used to be just a man. A man who didn't ask to lead a horde but is burdened to do so. This story is a different take on zombies, a look into what it might be like if someone traveled with them instead of the survivors fighting them. #zombies #zombieromance

Why did I decide to write a zombie apocalypse story from someone traveling with the zombies instead of the humans? I hadn't read it before. It might exist, but I haven't read it and I wanted to see how things might turn out. Especially if the main character wasn't a "badass survivalist". #zombies

Renee was an interesting character to write because she's not the typical survivor you'd expect in a zombie apocalypse. She's how I imagine most semi sheltered people would be if their world ended when they were in high school but they managed to survive years after.

I'm SOOOO happy! As an indie author who writes cross genre books, it's tough to find your readers, but after several years I think I finally found a few 😁 It's the best feeling in the world. Much better than drifting in the void of uncertainty.

I'm not really sure what to post here. This space is similar but different to other platforms not going to name any name but... you know which ones I'm talking about. I think this will be a mix of my IG and Threads. Some promotion but mostly me talking about writing.

....I was born of the womb of a poisonous man Beaten and broken & chased from the land... Listening to my soundtrack editing. Those lyrics somewhat apply to both of my boys. These characters - this story - it's twisted & broken like them but it always feels like coming home when I work on it.
