Not an excuse for the awful moderation, but it's worth remembering that Bluesky is decentralised, not unlike Mastodon. Sadly, Bluesky does a good job of hiding it, and there's still a lot of work to be done on alternate providers, so most are on the default. It'll take time, but it'll get there.
