I'm going to go against the grain here and say that I'm happy about blueprints' demise. There should be a designer and artist friendly system to author behavior but it should be TEXT BASED. Nothing to do with ai: text is actually human-friendly. Easily editable, shareable, compact.

trowbridge-reitz/ggx models the distribution of micro-normals within a surface patch as if the patch was part of a perfectly reflective ellipsoid. alpha controls how squished the ellipsoid is: zero alpha = no curvature at all (degenerates into flat disc) so all micro-normals are oriented the same.

Same applies to programmers. If you choose to rely on assisted programming, you should at least be running local models with "open weights" (still very problematic but that's the least worst option for now)
