Today, on Mother’s Day, I thought about Blue Monday (1985). The painting reminds me of mothers carrying everyone’s weight before their own. The exhaustion, sacrifice, pressure, and love they continue giving daily. Behind their strength is also a tired human being. Artwork: Annie Lee, 1985.
