#FARGO 1 had Billy Bob as #1 evil-doer. Season 2 has no great stars I like, for its Ma Barker-inspired gang-war plot, but ever-watchable Bokeem Woodbine lifts #subgenre to classy 1970s' styled #TV. What really saves this show is presence of Zahn McClarnon (DARK WINDS) as unlikely anti-hero Hanzee.

Not all that bad, BLACK BUTTERFLY plays out like MISERY meets THE HITCHER. Banderas might be unconvincing as alcoholic, but different ways he wakes up from naps is very good... hinting at what he's *really* been doing... instead of (hunt & peck!) 'writing'. Dream Hard?

At first glance, I thought TV series YOUNG SHERLOCK was a remake of Levinson's 1980s film. Sadly, under the influence of Guy Ritchie, it just seems to be chasing ENOLA dollars, but without any charm. At least there's Natascha McElhone, as apparently-dotty mum. Can a Chinese princess liven things up?

Binge-watching #FARGO, waiting for the other glove to drop... Very wise of makers to replace characters while keeping bits of Coen-style fun plots. Freeman slightly bland, but Thornton almost great as serial-killer who might be the Devil himself. Leave season 2 for next weekend? “Yeah, you betcha!”

At least 4 different genres crushed into 1 confusing movie, Hong Kong's weird not-quite Poe-inspired action-horror THE CAT has alien monsters, comedy-cops, cheapo gore-FX, and makes hardly any sense beyond episodic nightmares. That said, it should be in anybody's Top 10 cat-movies. Rented Blu-ray.
