We all see the irony of withholding SNAP funding, yet releasing help funds for another country. And we all know why Trump is doing it. No one is surprised, because this is how he has approached everything. SNAP benefits don’t help Trump personally, but Argentina might when he decides to flee.

In case you forgot, Adelita Grijalva STILL hasn’t been sworn in. This is beyond political misconduct. Mike Johnson must face consequences. Period.

I could talk about how Trump is to blame for all the mess, and how he’s living consequence free in a bubble. And all of that would be true. But he’s not alone. JD Vance, Stephen Miller, Tom Homan…the list goes on. These are the people whispering in his ear, and they need real consequences too.

For any who said they voted for Trump because they “wanted a better economy” I’m calling BS on their reasoning. He didn’t give a better economy in his first term, expert economists said the economy would tank with Trump, and Trump had a history of bad business decisions/bankruptcy.

There are days I dream of living somewhere that my vote will count even half as much as someone that lives in a “swing state.” This is why the electoral college must go. No one person’s vote should be more valuable than any other. Period.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 40: “If [so-and-so] is elected they’ll try to take our guns!”- In the long distant future, a gun ban may come about. But right now, the only ones taking away people’s rights are republicans. As the “party of freedom,” why is that, exactly?

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 39: “If we enact any socialist policies, it’s just like paying everyone the same for doing different jobs”- There’s a lot of misinformation here. Socialism is just the government providing benefits so everyone has a reasonable starting point. That’s all.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 38: “Illegal immigrants are a burden on our healthcare system.”- The US has a minimal amount of care given in free clinics, but otherwise most of the healthcare is insurance-based. Those without citizenship have no distinct advantage for cost.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 37: “‘Trump may not have kept all his promises, but Harris would have been worse.”- Objectively, Trump has had worse poll ratings than Biden or Obama across the board. In fact, the only recent president that comes close is Trump himself in his prior term.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 36: “‘Obamacare’ is a costly system that is ruining our healthcare.”- The ACA, otherwise called “Obamacare,” helps lower premiums for everyone, and overall costs you less than it would otherwise. That said, it isn’t as good a deal as universal healthcare.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 35: “Universities are liberal strongholds.”- College is often the first time young adults live on their own, and a time when they form their own views. Universities have education readily available. All these students are doing is putting 2 and 2 together.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 34: “Trump was just joking about being a dictator.”- Just like he never heard about Project 2025. The fact is that he’s power hungry and insatiable. If he could, he’d go for world domination and still be unsatisfied. He is a deeply troubled person.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 33: “ICE is only arresting criminals.”- ICE is known to have daily quotas that they must fill. The numbers on these vary, but they are high enough that they would be impossible to fill with only criminals. As a result, they get the rest by racist profiling.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 32: “Republicans are Pro-Life.”- We’ve heard it again and again. Republicans oppose abortion, framing this as pro-life. But when it comes to childcare, giving parental leave, and guns in schools, they no longer care. There’s nothing pro-life about that.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 31: “We shouldn’t give welfare/food because people may abuse it.”- You’re right, people may abuse it. But I’ll take that 100/100 times if it means those that need the help (and wouldn’t otherwise receive it) get it. I guess that’s the real difference.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 30: “Red states must gerrymander because Blue states are doing it.”- This may seem backwards to us because it is. This is just an accusation that is an admission. As an example, since Abbott (TX) is gerrymandering, Newsom (CA) is countering (Prop 50!).

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 29: “If Trump’s hiding of government documents was wrong, then Hillary was wrong too.”- 1) Hillary’s transgression was to a far lesser extent than Trump’s by far. 2) If they’re both guilty, then they should both serve the time for the crime. No exceptions.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 28: “Trump is not a fascist.”- Fascism is briefly defined as a far-right movement where the dictatorial leader has a centralized autocracy and a belief of suppressing dissent. There are other factors, but it is fairly clear that Trump meets the broad idea.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 27: “Disagreeing with Israel is Antisemitism.”- While Israel’s location is closely tied to the Jewish faith, the Israeli government is not the same thing. The government’s actions should be judged by their own merit. Genocide is still genocide.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 26: “Guns help prevent crime.” USA consistently ranks in the top 20 countries for per capita deaths by firearms, and in the top 5 for total deaths by firearms. Sensible gun legislation is bipartisan, but bad for NRA membership so it gets rejected.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 25: “US has the best healthcare system in the world.”- At one time, we had some of the best researchers in the world, and despite all efforts to get rid of them, we still do. But between insurance denials and rising costs, healthcare is inaccessible to many.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 24: “Trump is a pro-Christian president.”- In a time where evangelical Christians more closely mimic the people Jesus flipped tables protesting than those who followed him, it’s safe to say that Trump very closely resembles the villain of that story.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 23: “Antifa is a terrorist organization.”- There’s a lot wrong with this statement, but the biggest is that Antifa isn’t an organization at all, just an ideal. It would be like saying Conservatives are a non-profit organization. It’s just wrong.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 22: “Tariffs will help the US get trades that are more fair.”- Used with very specific targets, this can work, but Trump is instead using them as a bargaining chip: Other countries pay into his personal crypto, he lets them do business in the US.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 21 “People never used to be transgender/autism/etc”- Just like people just mysteriously got rashes before allergies were better known, these all existed, but they didn’t necessarily know what they were. We are just better at recognizing it now, that’s all.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 20: “Climate change/global warming is a hoax”- While there isn’t complete agreement on the full extent of details of climate change, experts all agree that it is happening, and action is needed. These are short gains for some at the cost of our future.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 19: “Trump is not a Russian asset”- I cannot confirm or deny if he is truly a Russian asset, if he’s simply being blackmailed, or if he’s just an idiot. If he was a Russian asset I cannot imagine what he would do differently than what he is doing now.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 18: “The Supreme Court is a neutral entity”- Trump appointed three of the nine members of the Supreme Court. Two additional members leaned heavily toward supporting his policies all along. The Supreme Court is supposed to be a neutral entity, but it isn’t.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 17: “Trump is a master strategist”- Trump’s main features are that he is a force of personality, and he has a reputation. Beyond that, he is bad with money, dumb as a box of rocks, and has a laundry list of untreated mental disorders.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 16: “Nobody wants to work anymore”- People want fair pay for fair work, and to be able to retire at a respectable age. Wealthy GOP CEOs on the other hand want cheap labor who are desperate. Sounds to me like the GOP CEOs are the ones who don’t want to work.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 15: “Trump wants to drain the swamp”- While he did get rid of some corrupt officials, he replaced them with some of the most corrupt in history. His actions are consistent with the bank robber firing the bank security guards.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 14: “America is a Christian nation”- The first amendment was intended to prevent the US from becoming a theocracy. Christianity may be the dominant religion, but the Constitution specifically allows freedom of religion. We can’t let them forget that.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 13: “Trickle down economics work”- We all know this myth, and that it doesn’t apply. But if you give money to the poor, they spend it on necessities, enriching themselves *and* putting money into the economy. It’s a win-win.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 12: “People are poor because they’re lazy”- Outright false. If that were true, the people working 2-3 jobs just to make ends barely meet would instead be millionaires. This is a narrative the GOP loves to spew to disqualify helping fix the system.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 11: “Trump is a charismatic leader”- If charisma is having the ability to pull someone in by your personality alone, then I admit he has that amongst conservatives. But to call him well spoken would be an outright lie. He is incoherent on the best of days.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 10 “Unions hurt businesses”- Unions (at least in the US) protect the rights of the workers through a unified front. We have seen again and again that oligarchs are willing to sacrifice the well being of anyone they can to give themselves just a little more.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 9: “Conservatives value freedom”- Other than relaxing on gun laws and regulations against corporations, the current administration has not expanded on any freedoms. We all know what they mean is that they want to discriminate without consequence anyway.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 8: “Trump puts America first”- Trump has repeatedly shown intent to enrich himself by bleeding America’s coffers. Between selling Qatar land, operating a quid pro quo crypto scam, and more Trump has only been a con artist, putting Trump first, America last.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 7: “There’s too much wasteful spending in government.”- This one is fair, but when given the hammer to remove wasteful spending, republicans have opted to go after watchdog organizations. Defense overspending is rampant. It’s time to rein it in.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 6: “Liberals don’t think long term”- From the budget to environmental effects, liberals are accused of only thinking short term, yet all evidence points to the idea that conservatives aren’t really looking to conserve anything but discrimination.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 5: “Trans rights are a slippery slope”- GOP politicians love to claim this, with the idea that once one right is given more will just fly in. Women’s rights are a constant uphill battle, as are gay rights, as are trans rights. I wish it were easier!

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 4: “JD Vance is a devoted Christian”- JD Vance, a member of the Catholic Church, was criticized both by the previous pope, as well as the current one. Issues with Catholicism aside, if he can’t even abide by what he claims he follows, he cannot be trusted.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 3: “Elon Musk is a genius”- Musk did not found Tesla (by conventional definition), he was an early angel investor. He did not engineer the vehicles. Musk had an inheritance that allowed him to buy a reputation, and lucked out with a company that profited.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 2: “Trump is a master businessman”- Prior to being POTUS, he repeatedly drove his companies to bankruptcy. The only thing he did that was remotely profitable was his run of the Apprentice. What he had was an inheritance that saved him every single time.

GOP talking points worth revisiting part 1: “Trump is a master negotiator”- We’ve heard it again and again, yet every time we see him speak in negotiation, all he does is blather on about how great he is and how he expects things to fall in his lap. This is not negotiation. This is strong-arming.

Let’s be crystal clear. Donald Trump is doing this because he would rather people starve than face the consequences of his actions on Epstein’s Island. #ReleaseTheEpsteinFiles

Trump is focusing on his ballroom. Why? To make the narrative “Why are you making people starve and celebrating your ballroom?” in order to distract from voting that would release the Epstein List. The narrative should be, “Why is the GOP defending the Epstein List instead of feeding people?”

Ken Paxton, current AG of Texas, just sued Johnson & Johnson under the premise that Tylenol could lead to autism. The problem? RFK Jr publicly admitted the studies do not support that, despite his earlier statements. No state, regardless of politics, deserves this kind of representation. #Vote

Words cannot describe how insane Trump sounds right now. His cognitive decline couldn’t be more obvious. Given the severity of his dementia, I’m surprised the GOP are still falling in line to defend him against the Epstein fallout to come. Even still, he MUST face accountability.
