These Middle Eastern fast food joints seem to be popping into Loves truck stops all over the nation. The name of the place is called Naf Naf which means “Fan the flame”. Results? Yummmm! Finally got to try it out for the first time! 🙂

Bought my Amtrak ticket this morning for my upcoming NYC 30th birthday extravaganza! Next week I’ll be booking my hotel for my stay. Got paid a nice big check! It was my first time in a long time not having a check going to debt payments! I even put some into savings too! 🙂

Welp. It’s here… My 30th birthday month! Also, I am totally 100% debt free! Paid off all my debit and got out of the nasty financial hole I was in. Now let’s hope I can stay that way. It’s hard because I live in a country designed to make you go into debt. celebrating things with breakfast! :)

I just got some good news from my bosses! After my birthday on May 29th, I get a three cent pay increase. I’m going from $.61 a mile to $.64 a mile. That’s going to put more $$$ in my pocket for my goals and dreams! :)

Can I just wake up and not be living in some insane historical event for once? Seems like since I got out of high school, the politicians have become stupider, the rich have gotten richer, and the poor are at their breaking point… Anyways… A TX sunrise & another long day driving today awaits…

Holy crap… 3rd time in a row that someone has tried to kill the president??? Damn… This timeline is insane… Absolutely insane… Seems like every day I’ve lived through some sort of historical event… I feel bad for the kids in school right now when they have to open their history textbooks…

From one coast to the other… Started in NY, went to IN and AR for pick up and delivery, and then AR to CA for a big thrash which I finished on time. Now it’s time for a much needed 34 rest break…

I decided to have some fun and see if I could re create one of my favorite Dennys meals: The Slamburger. When I go to Dennys? It costs me $25… I went to Walmart in TX the other day and got all the stuff needed for less than $15-20, plus, I can make multiple breakfasts. Results? Delicious! 🙂

This stuff keeps me from committing crimes and punching people in the face! 😂

Finished my IN to AR run right smack on time at 1PM. Now it’s time for the big one: AR to CA…

Train!!! Saw this shortline railroad in Rogers, AR today! Fun! @derechodragon.bsky.social, are those locomotives Alcos? I see they have curved roofs and Alco had locomotives like that back in the day…

Spent a night in NY at the PETRO… Not happy on having to leave NY for 5 weeks after feeling like I just got back. I blinked and it went by too fast. To quote RUSH: “Time Stand Still”. I just don’t wanna leave NY!!!

And just like that, back on the never ending grind… I had time to think and let feelings process. I am still sad I didn’t get approved for the apartment, but I did complete my Albany to do list which was: Rest and recharge w / fun Tax stuff Apartment tour / research Storage

There shouldn’t be credit checks for apartments or living in general. Credit scores are a pain in the ass. Got this very upsetting letter in my email right as I’m leaving Albany, New York for another long stretch of work.

Last morning in Albany… I don’t wanna leave!!! 😞 Not many people understand the mental toll trucking does to someone, let alone a regular job. 11 hour days, 7 days a week, for month(s) on end… Brunch is needed to get me through this day…

Feels like I am taking steps backwards instead of forwards… More stuff into storage and crummy credit score which forces me to stay on the road doing 48 states even longer… I don’t want to leave NY this morning… 😞

Welp. As soon as I got to hometime? I blink twice and it’s already over… Back into my tiny tiny box on wheels for 5 weeks of work… And no home base established, with a significant obstacle in my way: credit score. I’m not very happy this morning. Pretty sad. 😞

It most definitely is my story! Today is the big day! Going to go see my potential apartment for a tour! Time to get on the 10 bus and go! :)

Holy shit… I think I just got one of the coolest bus / transit videos I have ever gotten! Right when I was walking back to my hotel through Albany University… WOW! :D

A unexpected fun item to my hometime stay in Albany NY: First time ever to a game cafe and first time to Troy, NY! What a fun way to get to know some new fandom friends and the area! :)

Got to go by where the future CDTA and Greyhound bus terminal will be in Albany. This used to be a McDonalds. Looking forward to seeing this take shape! I hope they route ALL the CDTA routes through here!
