So now we need extremely good lottery luck to ever get a chance to have a star. We won twice (Kwame and Wall) and move backwards almost every other time. Couple that with bad injury luck and terrible contracts and this team has been basically irrelevant for 50 years.

This team has had 2 owners over the past 50 years who either did not care if the team won or were incredibly bad at trying to win. (Ted seems to have recently turned a corner.) This turned the 6th tv market into a “small market” team and almost no star free agents ever come here. (Thank you Gil)

From what I understand of the new lottery rules, it could be the last year a legitimately bad team has a decent shot at picking first. This is bad. As a Wizards *fan* here is why:
