I haven’t given an update on Cosmo and Nova in a while and I’m pleased to inform that Nova gave me a full 5 second blep today and is currently flopped at my feet, if anyone wanted to know their progress :3

Whatever inventory doesn’t end up being sold/given out, I’ll bring to trade at Fanfest the weekend after! My Elidibus sticker from last Fanfest is also making a return appearance - I gave out all of them last time and I still like the sticker so here he is again 😆

After months of prep, my first ever tabling event is this weekend! I’ll be at the Brooklyn Independent Comics Showcase selling some of my fanart and original prints :) If anyone is in the area and fancies venturing in, please stop by and say hi - admission is free!

I always thought of Ike and Soren as an inseparable pair since that’s how other FE games treat them but I’m disappointed to see how dour of a character Soren actually is smh (Ike on the other hand is great and I love him)

Soren doesn’t have any support with Laguz characters either so there’s little opportunity to see whether he reforms his thinking outside of main story dialogue…I’m not done w the game yet but I will be actively observing for this

Playing through Path of Radiance rn and why does the game not address how Soren consistently slips into using slurs towards Laguz even in ch 20 of the game…like it’s gotta be intentional writing right…

It would be easier to just buy a replacement but I’m worried that if Cosmo hasn’t eaten the airpods yet, he WILL if he finds it before I do 😭 Agh stress again

Lost my airpods inside my apartment :( What’s the likelihood that one of my cats ate them…

I’m a tad confounded because is this a common issue for printing? On web the areas are dark but slight shifts in value are visible, it’s almost as if the printers didn’t have enough range of color 😭 I’m worried that simply increasing brightness will mess with the other areas of color that are fine

My print proofs arrived but the colors are too dark 😭 I have to adjust brightness for all 24 files…

Maybe I will start to set aside money specifically for when Wacom releases a new 4K 24” Cintiq…this way I won’t feel too terrible to dump $$ on it when I have deliberately planned to use this money for a set purpose

I trust that XP Pen is a good alternative and I’m open to trying if after a week I still can’t get used to lower 2.5k resolution, but Wacom is good ol’ reliable for me and sticking with it lets me use my 16” Pro if needed…sorry XP Pen

On second thought maybe I will just stick w the Wacom…the zoomed out blurriness is annoying but if I zoom into my art w/ the details, it is indistinguishable from my 4K screen. I can definitely work with it Lower resolution aside I actually really like the Wacom 2025 Cintiq, it is quiet and sturdy

I have such driver trauma lmao I’m praying to god that uninstalling and switching back and forth between Wacom and XP Pen drivers won’t cause issues to either

Maybe I will try XP Pen Pro 24 after all because I don’t think I should rush the decision for something like this…crying cuz buying both is still cheaper than even one Cintiq Pro 😭

I could switch to XP Pen but the Wacom Pro Pen 3 now has barrel roll which has me screaming so omg what to do lol?

The lack of 4K is unfortunately really jarring…like it’s not unusable but definitely is a downgrade

Maybe I will just buy the non-pro Wacom to try out specs I’m cautious of (24” with only 2.5k res)…like will my desk even fit 24” and is 2.5k res too blurry to draw on…this way I don’t have to risk messed up drivers and I can just return if I don’t like it…

Does anyone have any thoughts as to XP Pen vs. Huion vs. Wacom? I have the money to buy any brand so I just want to know which is the best quality…like is Wacom still the best despite costing 2x as much or have the others caught up and it’s down to brand loyalty? Can’t decide…

*Artist who just got their bonus staring fervently at the new line of XP-Pen drawing displays* I’ve been using my Cintiq Pro 16 that I got 7 years ago…the pixels on the bottom right corner are entirely distorted and I have to scroll and move the canvas away from that area so I can judge colors…

In terms of online store…it’s not that I don’t want to open one but I recently read some news about IPs going after small artists selling fan merchandise 😭 Realizing it’s technically illegal has stopped me in my tracks but I feel like I see so many artists go about it…is it just a risk people take

I wonder if 5 per print is too low, even for a small artist event…

For someone who may intend on tabling more in the future or running an online store, I feel like the most logical idea would be to order a big batch of prints in one go and gradually sell over time since the unit cost is lower compared to having to restock and pay a high base price every time

My first observation being, stocking prints is so expensive yikes!!! I only ordered maybe 5 of each print but because I have so many, the base cost for each was just so high…

As someone who is tabling and selling for the first time, I’ll probably be a lot more chatty and open about the process as I’ll be taking notes and making observations, so sorry in advance 😭
