-With each step the light got dimmer and dimmer, not to the point of no visibility but to contrast the bright streets of Amataya with the bleak and lonely walkways of the sewers was harsh. Eventually the ground floor would come into view and… Nothing seemed out of place. —>

-It was indeed much shorter, some could hardly call it a path. But at its end a rat scurried off down a flight of stairs. Despite the rest of the area being covered in dust the stairs seemed less coated. As if it had been explored at least a few years ago… —>

-When the edge of the alleyway finally came into view there was…a wall. A wall? That was…odd. Surely there would’ve been something else, someway down… It wasn’t a matter of if it existed, but rather where it was hiding. The sides were mostly covered by houses too old to count. —>

-The scent only grew stronger as she ventured through the alley, it wasn’t actually a long hallway of houses, yet the anticipation made it feel near endless. So far away from the main town, the only noises of note were the scuttling of rats and Edge’s own footsteps… —>

-The smell of unkept wood wafted through the area, it wasn’t a potent smell however, only enough to tickle the nose. Yet this seemed to be on the right track as there was another scented still feint but enough to be noticed… The smell of something further bellow. —>

-The search was long, no doubt finding one staircase in a sea of dead ends would be mildly annoying at best. Alleyways stretching on only to lead to dead ends, blocked off areas with nothing of note to them. It felt as though the staircase would never show themselves. —>

“I’ll trust your word on that, good luck edge!” -Visco smiled, waving her off before she left herself, as she said before she had other matters to attend to and she’d rather not stall edge any longer than she needed to. Yet there was a feeling she couldn’t shake. —>

Visco: “Hey! How am I suppose to know you won’t tell, even if you’re from a different world you could be a troublemaker! …but you don’t seem like the type so I’m willing to trust you.” -She still had her suspicions of course, being from a world alien to her own… —>

“Why the hell would he make you something like that? Seems like he really did want you to fail or something, what a waste.” -A cursed item…the curse itself didn’t seem to matter as it was gone yet she couldn’t help but feel the same way the other did. Annoyed.- —>

“Huh, so you come from a family of witches don’t you… So what’s this curse you got put on you anyways?” -She couldn’t help but to be at least a little curious as to what the curse was about, not only that but also who these other witches were…-

“Ok, my hat can’t be THAT impressive, I mean thanks I guess but why does everyone seem to like my hat? But it also seems like you have a history with witches, is that right?”

Visco: “I don’t know why you seem so invested in finding this out if this isn’t your world, but I guess I can’t complain… All I ask is that you don’t share what you find with the people here, they’ve been through a lot already.” -She asked, a warm if shy smile on her face. —>

?????: “I…what?” -She seemed…confuse to say the least, not an outlandish reaction given the subject matter. People don’t simply travel worlds like it’s a family trip after all, so many new questions sprouted forth as a result. What world did she come from? HOW did she travel worlds —>

?????: “Gahh! D-Don’t just sneak up on me like that!” -She breathed to herself, it seems she wasn’t expecting anyone to walk up to her, let alone call out to her. She slowly recomposed herself, getting a clearer look at the other’s face, a look of confusion on it like the others.- —>

-Whoever did run the place seemed very thorough in cleaning up those loose ends… yet there was always one that was left behind. The guards patrolling around didn’t seem too bothered by her snooping around either, as if it inviting her to explore and investigate further. —>

-None of the gossip seemed to leave any more clues either… most of which being about a proposed witch hunt that never saw the light of day or more talks about the sewer yet none about where they could be found… The kingdom didn’t seem all that big so it wouldn’t take long for her to explore it. —>

-The kingdom itself seemed normal enough. What most would assume a kingdom built in the time period would look like. Simple but effective houses built from stone and wood, marketplaces being spread across multiple roads, and a large castle on top of a big hill. —>

-The ground felt…normal. There was no sign of crumbling infrastructure or a collapsing floor, everything felt well packed. Yet the feeling of strangeness never went away. The Amataya citizens looked at the rabbid with even more looks. Curiosity, concern, confusion. —>

-The witch knew he was teetering over the edge of anger. She could feel it in the words he said. As the punch was thrown she vanished, she didn’t dodge fast enough to avoid the blow in its entirety but enough to wear it felt like he missed. A small bruise forming on her face. —>

“If you’re going to act like a crying brat then do everyone you know a favor and disappear and never return. If you think you’re a failure that’s all you are, if you think you’re friends hate you they do. Because I’m sure damn well you know you deserve it, monster.” —>

“Bullshit! There are many worlds out there, many worlds getting devoured by world eaters but you’re too lazy and pessimistic to even care! Don’t even pretend that you’re a guardian of anything you waste of an observer! And I’m not going to be the one who kills your either. —>

“You aren’t you know, you just haven’t put in any of the effort to find a world in need of saving. Instead you’re here moping again about the same shit you’ve always been moping about!”

“I figured as much, I’m simply surprised you said anything at all. Must’ve not been too consequential to speak about right?” -She found a bit more confidence than before, not enough to be noticeable but enough to where she could stretch and move her limbs more freely in conversation. —>

“I had a feeling, I’m surprised you didn’t refuse to give me a straight answer like the other times.” -The witch was the same way… while not born in a different galaxy she certainly wasn’t a natural creation nor a Byproduct of love between two people. She was made. —>

-The rabbid had quickly become something or other, someone the witch saw with intrigue and fascination. Despite her appearance she seems so quiet, so calm, so collected, so… So…- “…” -Still no words escaped her lips, the only thing that did was a sigh and a groan. —>

“…” -The witch remained quiet for once, not out of respect but rather out of contemplation. She didn’t seem annoyed, at least not as annoyed as the other times they’ve met yet she also didn’t seem happy either…- “…” -The silence continued as the wind blew. —>

“What? He’d send the remnants of his little group out for me? I’d wipe them all out with no effort~ Then what happens to you? With no master nor fleet to call home? You’d probably just shrivel up and die in a hole where you belong, after all you’re of no use to anyone.”

“And what makes you think I’d use it against you to begin with? I may be a witch but I’m far more direct with my approach and you know that. You’re hiding something more than just a small secret, that much I know about. Whether it’s something you want buried or not is beyond me however.” —>

“I can harbor a guess as to what happened to it~ It’s gone now and that’s what matters, again, so much for this great and amazing Glyde person huh?” -She teased, her words mocking Glyde’s very position as a leader.-

-She hated that. She hated the fact she felt as thought she was being read faster than she could read her. She hated having this feeling of watchful eyes peering at her, as if acting like she was this special child who needed to be studied or a brat of a kid who needed punishment.- —>

“Glyde huh? Sounds even stupider than your voice.” -She couldn’t help but feel a little nostalgia hearing that name. The name Tron first used to deceive her many months ago. If this Glyde person was someone even she didn’t like then it had the swamp witches curiosity slightly peaked-

“A cat? What are you inept? Thats such a boring familiar for a witch to have you’d be dead for assuming so! MY familiar is something far better than a random stray. You looking for a witch to take you? I think a crow would be better than you at everything.”
