The resident Water of Leith/Victoria Bridge Swan is niw reclaiming her nest. Let's hope for another successful breading season in '26. It's a spring/summer joy to see her and her mate raise cygnets.

The Screen Machine is a beloved, large, blue, mobile cinema which tours the Highlands and Islands. Due to low demand, screening of Melania is relocated to an appropriate venue.

Here is my Dad, Harry Wilson - standing third from the left. He'd be 103 today. He made it to 88 - but was lucky to make it 22, flying 45 sorties as a Lancaster bomb aimer. His story is told in my book, Ghosts in Pencil, from Aviation Books.

Today I received my author's copies of Ghosts in Pencil, a one-man's-war story of a working-class Glasgow boy who flew 45 missions as a Lancaster bomb-aimer - from the Battle of Berlin to D-Day in an elite Pathfinder squadron. On Amazon - or better still, order from a local bookshop.

This is Jim's first outing on Bluesky. He's an upcycled sheepdog (actually, scared of sheep), and winner of this year's Holyrood Dog of the Year. Recently, he peed on a parked Tesla. He's a good boy.
