Studies show that combining alcohol with cannabis is potentially harmful. Why is it so common among young adults? Depression and anxiety may be a risk factor for mixing cannabis with alcohol. Can specific reasons for combining cannabis with alcohol help us understand why this relationship occurs?

Check out Ryan Hooshiar’s recent research! Hooshiar’s undergraduate thesis, "Medicinal Versus Recreational Cannabis Use: Examining Associations Between Indicators of Stigma, Use Behaviours, and Negative Outcomes", was completed at the BAC Lab under the supervision of Dr. Jeffrey Wardell.
