Working on a project for so long, you can no longer make heads or tails of it.

The drunker I fet the more I just want to drawe my creachers. Lately I've been thinking that maybe it's ok to be cringe and sjhow art tht I do when I'm not 100% sober in here. Also I wish opther creators would do something similar, I want ton see people showibnfg how they feel about thier things

Can't asleep. cone more. My first book character, Vincent. He saw his parents murdered when he was 5yo, grew up on the streets, and at 16 found out his house had a secret fucking door to a fantasy world where he's the heir to the throne. Two books later he commits suicide at 31 years old.

I got grounded for 2 weeks in 2008 for drawing Vince, because drawing on the computer constituted as gaming. I re-drew him as a 16-yo in 2018. This is a few days before he canonically flees home and starts living with Tom, whom runs the club he's been DJ'ing at. He was my first self-insert.

2012 and late 2025 Haan. The OG version of him had been hunted down by humans, whom carved his back full of slurs they called galk. They scars still remain as proof he will never be ""human"", if you understand the metaphor. He fought to remain ""human"", and he won.

2021 + 2022. The shorter figure in 1st, and right-most one in 2nd are Tick, the deuteragonist of an unnamed book about two devils held hostage in a research institute that just so happens to occupy my children's home's address. they flee once, to the park, in a 2006 story. Remember the dragon? I do.

Sometimes I wonder whether other artists think about their past drawings as much as I do. Anyway, here's a re-draw of a ten-year old doodle.

And here's this lady from my nap yesterday. She kept ringing the doorbell trying to get in and every time she did, she had more eyes. Not sure what she was expecting to achieve with that? I think I threatened to beat her ass if she wouldn't stop harassing me.

Oshit I only now fully realized it's October, the perfect excuse to draw my beloved ~×*°Friend°*×~!

Perhaps someone out there can relate? I've been working hard for the last couple of years on growing at least some sort of an internal sense of self-worth, but this fear is haaaaaard to drop.

I've spent my whole life trying and failing to stop being inconvenient and repulsive so people would finally tolerate my presence. But it wasn't enough, so all I could do was to say I was sorry the only way anyone would believe. It's now been two years since I failed so here I am, I guess.

I just can't seem to finish this, so have a rough painting of Üsha, a kiro analoque to an anthropologist+primatologist whose efforts are why the widdle people are considered people now, instead of animals like they used to be. She's one of my favorite characters from the red world

Skull, or Freedom as he was also known. He used to have wings back then, but now they're cut to reflect the abuse my first 18 years consisted of. Today you get only sketches, perhaps the next time you'll get something more polished.

One of my sisters took mom's kitten to a cat show a few weeks back. Absolutely fantastic stuff. I was thoroughly delighted and inspired. So here's Eya, confused yet ever tolerant of getting stretched and paraded around. Worthy of ten blue ribbons at least!

Been a while

Life's been a bit of a roller-coaster lately, but last week has been mostly up. Here's a weary, flu+sinus pain -fueled sketch of my bf and his doggo. I hope he didn't end up catching whatever I was afflicted by, because boy howdy; the Pain, it was immense! Feeling much better now, thankfully.

I'm fire, searing off all things good 'til only the bitter ashes remain.

Life's been fucking weird lately. Here's Orion, he's my husband's dragon character.

It's been 5 months now, drew Wick and Ruffe while thinking about that night. Something about having the proof necessary to accept how bad things were and to move on. Also about creating a copy of the self to have a self to love.

Usually my characters start finding their own faces pretty quickly, but Ruffe's slowly turning into me instead. I guess I really need to see a 'me' who'll actually get better in the end. Though right now we're still deep in the depression arc.

I think the kind of art that makes me the happiest is the kind that takes absolutely forever to create. Friends will know I've spent closer to 400hrs on my current painting and it's nowhere near done. I'm painting wrinkles on fingers. I can't recall the last time art made me so joyous.
