I've spent my whole life trying and failing to stop being inconvenient and repulsive so people would finally tolerate my presence. But it wasn't enough, so all I could do was to say I was sorry the only way anyone would believe. It's now been two years since I failed so here I am, I guess.

Been a while

Life's been a bit of a roller-coaster lately, but last week has been mostly up. Here's a weary, flu+sinus pain -fueled sketch of my bf and his doggo. I hope he didn't end up catching whatever I was afflicted by, because boy howdy; the Pain, it was immense! Feeling much better now, thankfully.

Life's been fucking weird lately. Here's Orion, he's my husband's dragon character.

It's been 5 months now, drew Wick and Ruffe while thinking about that night. Something about having the proof necessary to accept how bad things were and to move on. Also about creating a copy of the self to have a self to love.

Usually my characters start finding their own faces pretty quickly, but Ruffe's slowly turning into me instead. I guess I really need to see a 'me' who'll actually get better in the end. Though right now we're still deep in the depression arc.

I think the kind of art that makes me the happiest is the kind that takes absolutely forever to create. Friends will know I've spent closer to 400hrs on my current painting and it's nowhere near done. I'm painting wrinkles on fingers. I can't recall the last time art made me so joyous.
