it is amazing how bad github's api token interface is. could these grants be any more opaque?

Prediction markets should be like futures markets. Traders should be well vetted for liquidity and standing. These shouldn't be open ended markets available to everyone.

I know you love the

I dream of a laptop that actually meets it's thermal management goals. please. your target demographic will care much more about thermal throttling than an increase in case depth.

Dear
@github.com
, you know what isn't useful at all? Your copy link on PRs for the base branch. Seriously, what is the average user going to do with <username>:<branch>?? Why is it so painfully difficult to copy the branch name only?

Sometimes I want to make an issue on github, but then I browse the project's existing issue list and think "these people have it hard enough, i'll just deal". open source is so hard

openclaw is a steaming pile of shit no, seriously. I would love to know how many compute cycles have been spent on bots trying to edit a config file that has a constantly changing schema, but no canonical definition.

A message to other engineering leads: If someone on your team gives tough code reviews, I bet that is the thing other employees are bashing against - not unit tests, not learning organically, etc - they just want to get beyond what ever person is blocking them.

I hate to say it, but Claude Opus is a game changer. Too expensive right now, but it's a real productivity boost. The question is how long until the open source community catches up? I've been playing with
#Ollama
and
#Continue
- there is a massive capability gap.

I swear, asking ELI5 questions in tech causes people's brains to break. I'm literally asking for a string. It's not that hard. No, don't explain the string's abstract purpose for the 30th time, just paste the !@$% string you're using...

Cursor is the worst IDE I've ever been forced to use. I totally understand why vibe coders get made fun of. Imagine reading a book and something inserts half a page of text over the sentence you're trying to read, asking if you'd like to replace the words you can no longer see. Hot garbage.

These 6 swing states are the Democratsโ best chance to take control of the Senate in 2026. Democrats in ALL 50 STATES need to support these races. This is the only path to flipping the Senate. Whether you donate money or donate your time, every action counts

Dicey "A Real Hater" June

Maybe AI would more palatable if their advocates were also a bit more palatable. Instead, its loudest advocates have been THE most smug, insufferable and, honestly, stupid bunch of people we have seen in the past 5 years. On that principle alone, the tech should fail cos that's what they deserve.
