He accepts the hair ruffling without complaint, carefully straightening it back out as neatly as he can once Trey's done. "Pfft- Yeah, alright. No kazoo practice in the dorm. Any chance I could get a little snack with that tea?" He raises an eyebrow as he starts towards the dorm, smiling cheekily.

"I- Cute?!" Deuce sputters slightly at the word, his face heating up further. First Cater, now Trey? Where were they getting this cute thing from? He's fortunately distracted by the mention of Ace, huffing as he crosses his arms. "Like yer totally not makin' fun of me right now. I... can totally >

Deuce chokes a little at that, not expecting the genuine response. His cheeks heat as he looks away, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. "It's... really not that big of a deal, senpai. 's just a compliment."

"Ehhh... Maybe a little soft. 'm not Ace though, I ain't afraid t' speak my mind when it comes t' people I like." He leans into the touch a little before he can stop himself, only to clear his throat and straighten his shoulders back out. "Buuuut if y'don't want my compliments, it's yer loss~"

"...Why would I reconsider?" A confused head tilt as he looks back to Trey. "You're cool, Clover-senpai. 'course I would compliment you if I could."

Deuce has caved to his impulses... He's currently leaning against the brick wall in the school courtyard, taking a slow drag from a cigarette. He's not 𝘩𝘪𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 what he's doing, but he isn't broadcasting it either. Just trying to blend in with the shadows.

"Ah-" Deuce flushes just a bit, averting his gaze before shrugging, trying to seem nonchalant. "Well, I did say yer bakin' was brilliant, so I guess it qualifies as a compliment."

"Damn... A brilliant baker, a secret kazoo master... What other incredible talents 're you hidin' in there? Next you'll tell me you have a bigger Magicam following than Diamond-senpai." He can't help but giggle a little, wiggling his eyebrows at Trey.

"...Are you some sorta kazoo expert now?" A teasing little grin. He bumps Trey's shoulder with his own, raising an eyebrow. "Y'gonna show me how it's done, senpai? Absolutely shred on a kazoo?" It wasn't often that Deuce actually got to joke around with Trey... This was kinda nice, actually.

"Yes, Housewarden!" He does a full salute with the words, a tiny smile on his face.

"Oh dear Seven, 𝘯𝘰. I might actually kill him." Deuce shivers dramatically, the mental image alone enough to make him cringe. "He'd totally do it, too. Probably with like... a meme song or something."

"Phew..." He lets out a sigh of relief, relaxing. "Don't worry, I'll make sure not t' bug anybody with it. I'm also plannin' on hidin' it around Ace, so hopefully neither of us will hafta hear HIM play it."

DOOT! Deuce squeaks nervously before taking the kazoo out of his mouth, face flushing slightly. "Ah, Housewarden! I, uhm... I thought it would be fun? There's not any rules against kazoos, are there?"

Deuce blinks slowly as well, brow furrowing as he takes a nervous half-step closer to Yuuka. Strength in numbers, and all that. "I mean... Diamond-senpai talked about chattin' up Rosaria when we first met him, right? I-if paintings can talk, maybe they can blink?" He grips his magic pen tightly, >

"Ah, yes..." Deuce clears his throat, straightening his back and miming holding a gavel. "Rule 754: Thou shalt not play a kazoo whilst not wearing the proper garments of a spiffy little hat and tap shoes. The punishment for this is either death or extra homework."

"Ah... right. That's... probably smart. I'll hafta check if there are any rules about kazoos." Deuce clears his throat, cheeks flushing pink in mild embarrassment. He tucks the instrument in his pocket for now. "If there was any dorm to have rules like that, it'd be ours."

Deuce makes a surprised doot as he sees Trey, his eyes widening for a second before he sheepishly takes the kazoo out of his mouth. "Oh, Clover-senpai! I, uhm. 's a kazoo. Sam's shop had a few cheap ones for sale and I caved... They're kinda fun."

Deuce has found a kazoo! He's walking around the hallways while humming into it quietly. Weirdly entertaining.
