Hey! You might've heard about the LinkedIn thing: browsergate.eu I've checked, and this only happens on Chrome – so if you're using Safari you're ok. Even if this could work in Safari, Wipr would block the reporting of the collected data anyway. In short, we're safe 👍

Hey Filtr testers! In order to get Wipr 2.25.1 approved on the Mac, I've had to delete the Filtr in-app purchase. (…don't ask) Because of that, Filtr can't be fake-purchased in TestFlight right now! But if you're already fake-purchased it, you should be able to keep testing. I'll fix this asap!

Hey I've seen this before somewhere This artisan somehow ripped off the UIs of both Wipr 1 and 2 at the same time, the App Store screenshots of Wipr 2, and even their app name from another blocker 🤦‍♀️

As for Filtr pricing, it seems the consensus is that a subscription is good as long as there's a one-time purchase alternative, so I think I'll go for that!

What if Filtr was a subscription? It would still be something like 5 bucks, but every year. 42 cents per month 🫠 Maybe this is the right choice to make sure Wipr keeps existing. I work on it for hours every day, and that's hard to justify without any recurring revenue. What do you think tho?

Alright, seems like I figured out the server side, at least enough for Filtr to activate 😬 We can finally start testing yay If you want to check if it's actually working, try opening this: kaylees.site/ufxtest If it's working, Safari will tell you it "couldn't load any data".

Can any tester confirm that Filtr can now be activated from the TestFlight? You might need to restart beforehand if it stalls.

Wipr progress update: I've turned the tide! Thanks to improvements to both the app, my tooling, and skill, the total number of open reports is finally going down! 🙌 In other words I'm fixing all new reports, and also nibbling at the backlog.

🚨 Beta testers! 🚨 I was finally allowed to submit a build that includes Filtr, and it's out now! However, as far as I can tell Apple hasn't certified my server component, so it won't actually work 😅 Hopefully the certification won't take as long 🫠 But we can test the UI for now!
