Jesus it’s been ages since I’ve posted here. Just haven’t had the time or motivation I guess, and uh well depression. I’m feeling better now at least (for the time being), so hopefully I can get back to making art.

Last Nyxelia post for tonight, I didn’t have much time during work to doodle. The Gyrecoral behave like tumbleweeds from Earth. If they land in a good spot, they take root. If not, they die, but they set the foundation for others to survive, sometimes forming walls of dead gyres. #specevo

More Nyxelian spec evo! The wisp is a relative of the vault barnacle. Instead of retreating into its shell when under threat of predation, it takes to the air via the aid of a floatation sac. The escape maneuver is risky, and sometimes results in failure, but it beats certain death. #specevo

WIP of the ironmoon snail! It’s not literally a snail in the earth sense but I reckon many body plans would be shared across the cosmos. This creature devours the large vault barnacles which usually choke out other life if left unchecked. Their prey’s empty husk act as shelter for others.

3D model I’m working on for the vault barnacle. It’s not perfect but eh. I had someone say “those things already exist here”, and yeah, I know. There’s going to be cases of convergent evolution, and not every spec-alien needs to be Hollywood-outlandish. Tbf I am working on the boring guys first.

Tomb striders are armored relatives of the ribbon spiders, and are the pack hunters of Nyxelia. Highly territorial, they often clash with roaming ribbon striders, looking to harvest food and materials from their turf. Two of their limbs adapted to crush and grip. #specevo

“Floaters” are creatures similar to jellyfish on Nyxelia, but instead of being aquatic, they take to the air. The atmosphere is dense enough that such creatures can go airborne. Due to the cooler and safer environment of the skies, airborne life is quite diverse. #specevo

The ribbon spiders of Nyxlia share a symbiotic relationship with the vault barnacles. They shelter within its spacious shell to survive harsh weather conditions, feeding off some excess gut bacteria. In return, they repair the shell and defend the host. #specevo

The ironmoon snail is a large predator that primarily feeds on the vault barnacles of Nyxelia. If it’s quick enough, it can jam its proboscis into the top opening. Otherwise, it must slowly drill through the shell. #specevo

Little daydream project of mine! These lifeforms exist on a planet nicknamed “Nyxelia”, a roughly earth-sized planet orbiting a gas giant, experiences tidal heating. Surfaces average at 90c or 194f. This creature is chemosynthetic, feeding bacteria in its gut. #Specevo

It’s called “future faking”, where someone promises things like marriage, kids and a house or whatever after barely knowing you. Sometimes it’s only three months in or even still in the talking stage. It’s all a trick lol First and only time I was future faked, it was 2 weeks in and they cheated 🙃

Decided to sketch out Madoric again after so long! I usually draw him with his grappling fists in action but he doesn’t actually use them too often He didn’t always have a pompadour actually. He used to have skrillex style hair 🤯

When I was younger my dad decided to teach me self defense. I learned to wrap my fists in bandages like I’m so hardcore 🤭 At the punching bag he’d yell “PUNCH EM IN THE B*LLS! PUNCH EM IN THE B*LLS!” (Idk if that’s profanity here 🙃) I was a short kid so that was all I *could* hit 🤭
