Pool was a bit weaker than expected for the Riftbound pre-rift but still went 2-1 losing to a Draven legend, so I’m not too salty. Ended up with good trades for upcoming spiritforged decks though, including my first Zenith Blade 😍

Reorganizing my deck box this evening I was able to pack two Riftbound decks and a commander deck, plus tokens and dice. All set for whatever TCG shenanigans come my way! (Now I just need to build two more Riftbound decks to have enough for my “proving grounds at home” 4P FFA session)

Had a Riftbound spiritforged pre-order in my cart for 20 minutes before being told it was sold out. Alas… If @riftbound.riotgames.com can work with distributors and LGSs in Canada to keep the price down it doesn’t much matter. But the merch store price is like CAD$150 less than current prices 😬

Thanks to a security vulnerability I’ve had to start updating my Apple devices to iOS26 (they chose not to release the security patch for versions that are eligible). I started with my iPad and I hate it already. Split View and Slide Over? Gone. Needless “liquid” physics? Forced.

Watched a Riftbound match from #RQHouston where a player lost a point from a global effect due to not announcing that trigger before drawing their card for the turn. I hope that gets addressed in the January finessing of the called trigger rules. It just feels unsportsmanlike.

Was able to sneak in my first FFA game of Riftbound today. Playing multiplayer felt very much like M:tG Commander, but a much faster game. Not spending the first 2-3 turns on rambling gets to the interesting gameplay more quickly. Now I just need to see what the formal 2v2 is like 😅
