I'm glad that my CDs of Ministry's "In Case You Didn't Feel Like Showing Up" and TKK's "Confessions of A Knife" was salvageable. They were both suffering from disc rot, but the external drive I used to make FLACs pulled through with minimal errors, where other failed bad before.

I'm not sure if I'll ever get around to doing it, but it would be nice if I could re-do my 1990 doujinshi "Gall Force 4" that was only released as a photocopy doujinshi in Japan once.

My old CD of 1989 film Black Rain suffered from disc rot and my previous mp3s had slight errors (skips and pops) but they are all gone when I used a different external drive to make FLACs. It's amazing how the different equipment can result in such dramatic differences.

映画『Black Rain』のサントラのFLAC化が成功して、昔のMP3であったノイズやスキップが完全になくなってる！すばらしい！！ 読み込み機材の違いでここまで変化があるのは興味深い……

ちなみに今週のジークアクスには「翻訳協力　笹本祐一」と出ていますが、実は兼光から無理言ってお願いしました。大気圏突入時のモニターに表示するデータについては私がそれなりに下調べしたのですが、ここやっぱり笹本さんに尋ねよう！チェックして頂きました。ありがとうございました！

ジークアクス、子供の頃に見たキラキラしていたファーストがどんな物語だったかを大人の視点できちんと再検証しているのが大好きです。色々なガンダムがあってよいと思いますが、兼光はこんな素晴らしい作品に少しでも関われて三国一の幸せモノであります。

異論あるとは思うが、個人的には「尊い」の英訳はvenerableが一番しっくりくる。Preciousでは崇拝のニュアンスが足りない In my opinion, "venerable" comes closest to capturing the nuance of toutoi (尊い) because "precious" doesn't encompass the emotional element of worshiping something.
