Board games I played in September. We finally got back to Frosthaven after a two-year break 🫣 The game is a LOT, so when we break it out it tends to stay on the table for days. The map books help a bunch with setup and clean-up, but still.. Took a while to relearn everything. Love the game, though 😊

My boardgame summary from August. Not a bad month overall, but most of these plays happened during the first few days of the month when we had a friend staying for a week (end of July and into August). After that we sadly had to do adult things like work 😩

So, today's episode of Alien: Earth. Overall, I liked it. As expected, the eyeball stole the show. It's amazing and I love it so much 🥰 But the crew, man... Even more incompetent, stupid, useless and insufferable than the Prometheus science people. How did they even get hired by WY?? 🤬

Well, that was very disappointing 🤷‍♀️

Yesterday I was panicking because it was the end of August and "where the hell did the year go??" 😭 Today is Sep 1st and I'm excited because my favorite season has begun and I can start prepping for Halloween 🎃 I need to buy more white yarn for ghosts... 👻

Every now and then I get the urge to crochet something yellow. This time it ended up being a giant mushroom 😊

And here it is, my lil crochet version of T. ocellus from Alien: Earth 😊 Pretty much life size too, though I don't really know how many eyes it's supposed to have. I counted 7 tentacles and assumed same number of eyes. Though mine has 6 because I wanted to keep an even number 🤷‍♀️

Alien: Earth looks very promising so far. I actually liked the first episode more than the second, I really loved all the setup 👌 The eyeball creature was amazing, though; I need to crochet one ASAP 😆

Never been a fan of songs ending by fading out... Like, when do I stop singing? 🤷‍♀️

My boardgame stats for June and July. June was abysmal, but summer usually is a slow period of gaming for me. I crochet a lot instead 😊 July was better but only because we had a friend staying with us for a while. Shogun no Katana was a new arrival in June, and clearly it's been a big hit 😄

Almost forgot to post more nudibranchs, but I finished four more of these guys! Now I think I'm down to three still in progress 😅 It's taking some time because I got distracted and crocheted a bunch of other stuff as well, like cute animals and food things 😊

I ordered my new phone on Sunday, delivery was estimated to take 4 days. I told myself I wouldn't be too upset if it didn't arrive before we're going away for a week this coming Sunday... but now I'm obsessively updating the tracking app and I will be sad if I have to wait a whole week longer 😅

I went and bought myself a new phone, as my current one is getting slow and the battery is struggling 😞 But it's five years old, so maybe it's not entirely unexpected 😅 Anyway, I randomly decided I needed my new phone to be yellow, which limited my choices somewhat...

Currently at work, trying very hard to be productive, but... 😫

Just finished the first season of Squid Game. I know it was the biggest thing like 4 years ago, and it was on our watch list, but we just never could be bothered. Well, now we have, and we know what everyone was talking about, but yeah... we won't be going on to season two 🤷‍♀️ or three 🥱

Went to see Jurassic World: Rebirth today 😀 And well, it's a perfectly fine movie, nothing really wrong with it. Been following all the speculations and picture/trailer analysis for months, so nothing in it really surprised me 🤷‍♀️

My latest crochet obsession: nudibranchs! I originally just wanted to make some soft and cute round things, then I decided to take the colors from sea slugs, and finally I ended up just making actual nudibranchs while still keeping the round shape. Mostly because round is simpler 😅

Had a friend visiting us for a few days, and we did some adventuring! Visited a small stave church (a replica, since the original was burned down by a satanist in the 90s), saw a troll and pet some goats, and went on a road trip to a viking village deep in a valley. Much fun 😀

It's been a while... but here are my board game stats for May. It was a pretty good month, I even got to play some games I don't own for once 😄

My workplace. This is the view from the door when I come and go, when the lights are off (switches are on the wrong side of the door). Kinda creepy? I didn't use to think so, but now I've listened to so many horror audiobooks while working that I'm starting to change my mind 😅

I've forgotten to post much here lately, mainly because the world is off its hinges and I don't have much to say about that 😮‍💨 But for some reason February was a great month for boardgames for me, so here is everything I played 😁 38 total plays, 30 different games, and most of them new to me 😳

My boss/supervisor at work rescued a baby pigeon and keeps it in his office 😅 From a dumpy little thing with quill feathers to this in eight days! They grow up so fast 🥺

I watch a lot of bad TV when I'm home alone. Stuff that my bf is not very interested in, like silly monster or disaster movies, the Fast & Furious series, etc. I enjoy the popcorn... factor? And when there's a boring scene I just don't pay attention and focus on my crochet or something 😀

Boyfriend just arrived in Egypt, and he sent me these pics from his flight from Copenhagen to Cairo. The hedgehogs are Hazel and Red-Nose, two kids from our rather massive family of plushies. It's their first time traveling 😊 Also, the safety video was pretty funny 😄

Going to work this morning: Trudging along in a narrow path in the snow outside our house (no one has shoveled the road), with a foot of snow on either side, keeping my eyes on the path, when suddenly the world shifted, or erupted, right in front of me. It was the neighbor's white dog 😅

Oh, dear gods, I've started to look at a new hobby again 😬 This time it's perler beads, Hama beads, melty iron beads or whatever you call them 😅 All the neat stuff you can make with them! Especially the mini ones 👀 I'm also wondering if they could work for things like brick or peyote bead weaving...

Some more Christmas gifts I made, but forgot to post about. They were all wrapped up and send off to their recipients last week. So nice to finish all gifts early 😊 Now all that remains is some baking and cleaning...

My tamagotchi has their Christmas tree up! The mouth is killing me 🤣 ... I need to get my own tree down from the attic 🙂

Out shopping for Christmas gifts with my mother. Went by the toy store to find some Hot Wheels for a boy, and I got stuck by the animal figures... Lil me would literally cry with joy if I got this like 30 years ago 😭

Finally finished watching The Mist (Netflix series) last night. We almost didn't, but pushed through anyway. Man, what a waste of time 😖 Just a bunch of unlikable idiots running around making dumb-ass decisions 🙄 And that ending?? Like, I sat through TEN episodes for THAT?? Ugh. Do not recommend 😤

Oh! I just remembered I saw long-tailed tits yesterday! First time seeing them in real life, and they were so adorable 😍 I couldn't get a picture with my phone as they were tiny and high up in a tree, so I lifted this pic from Wikipedia 😅

Finally saw the Civil War movie the other day. Read mixed reviews, so didn't expect too much. And well, it was just kind of meh. It was all so vague and weird, like who was fighting who and why? Nobody knows... "War is bad, mmkay..." Toothless. But hey, power of photography, I guess 🤷‍♀️

Well, spoiler alert: There were no aliens 😆 It was actually more Lovecraftian, which is more my thing. I thought it would be scary, because I fuckin hate clowns, but it wasn't too bad. Not sure why. It was full of terrible people, though, so it wasn't exactly a *fun* read, but I liked the story.

Finished IT today! Only took me two months 🥴 I don't really have a lot of deep thoughts about it, but I liked it. It was long sometimes, but that's the neat thing about audiobooks - I can do stuff while I listen so I mind the boring parts less 😀 It was pretty good, and I'm happy to have read it 😊
