NEW: Gov. Bob Ferguson has signed the Driver Privacy Act (SB 6002) into law. This new law regulates automated license plate readers (ALPRs), which store license plate data from countless drivers every day and enable government agencies to track where people drive and when.

Birthright citizenship has been a fundamental right in our country for over 150 years. President Trump's efforts to end birthright citizenship are part of a broader effort to redefine who belongs in our country — we refuse to let that happen.

When ICE agents tear apart our communities, we take to the streets. When the Trump administration tries to silence dissent, we just get louder.

President Trump has deployed ICE agents to 13 airports around the country. That's 13 too many. We want to be loud and clear: Instead of paying TSA agents or agreeing to common-sense reforms to rein in ICE and Border Patrol, President Trump is treating the agency like his own private security force.

In a February filing, the federal government claimed that, of the agents deployed in Operation Metro Surge, 407 federal agents would remain in Minnesota into March. However, on March 4, the government filed a document that revealed there are still 482 agents in Minnesota.

Over half of U.S. states have passed a form of an online age verification law. These laws pose a unique threat of outing transgender people or blocking them from the internet entirely, especially in places where they are unable to access accurate IDs. We all deserve anonymity and privacy online.

Through her founding of the Disability Visibility Project, Alice Wong amplified the lived experiences and stories of people with disabilities. In the wake of her passing last year, her advocacy continues to shape national conversations around accessibility and the rights of disabled people.

In 1960, 6-year-old Ruby Bridges was the first Black child to attend a formerly whites-only school in Louisiana, marking a major moment in the fight to desegregate schools. She remains a committed advocate for civil rights to this day.

Today, we honor the life and legacy of Billy Frank Jr., who was a powerful advocate for environmental and Indigenous justice in Washington state.

NEW: Last week, we were in court to defend QueerDoc, a Washington-based medical clinic that provides gender-affirming healthcare to adult & adolescent patients. QueerDoc is one of 20 gender-affirming care providers the Trump administration targeted to restrict trans individuals’ right to care.

To address WA's housing crisis, we need systemic solutions. Solutions built on a foundation of access to housing and support - not punishment.

This is a reminder of how easily surveillance technology can be turned against us when there are no guardrails.  That’s why we’re fighting for the strongest possible regulations on license plate readers in WA.

This is a win for the right of free speech and expression. No one should be targeted or removed from public office for lawfully exercising their first amendment rights.
