I see stuff like this and I'm reminded of two things: - Most people have seriously trash takes. - I've been playing fighting games longer than most of these people have been breathing air.

I'm using 2XKO as a chance for me to really learn a fighting game again. I haven't bonded with a fighting game since Soul Calibur 2, however when I played the alpha lab, I found myself falling deep into this game. At 48 years old I'm curious to see how much I can maintain that type of energy.

To be honest, I really wanted to take tomorrow off from work to immerse myself in 2XKO, but application server upgrades through this coming Wednesday night will not allow it. Thank god this beta is not limited, otherwise I'd feel legit cursed.

I keep rewatching the Blitzcrank footage of 2XKO in disbelief that I'm about to get my hands on that character. I already have my Astaroth character in the form of Darius, and now I'm getting my Iron Tager/Potemkin in Blitzcrank. It's been decades since I've had so much to look forward to.

Been trying to get rid of these ants for months, only to realize they have two whole colonies in the potted plants on my balcony. Time to nuke the Zerg.

Vampire Survivors, is way deeper than I expected and I went in expecting a lot. But come on man, the game keeps unlocking more stuff and not letting me finish. I havent even reached the point of DLC yet 😵‍💫

Did my first AirBNB as a weekend in Palm Springs with my wife's family. I enjoy her family and everything, but there were no "plans" to do anything. So the experience left much to be desired. 6 out of 10 overall, could have saved that money.

Found out my wife has never played an Animal Crossing game and had to fix that this weekend. She's a "Mario" casual gamer, so I've been having fun exploring gaming with her. Its been one day and AC already hooked her 😂.

Are Tower Defense games still a thing? Last ones I played were on Miniclip, and prior to that were Starcraft/Warcraft 3 custom maps. Would be cool to see where the genre has evolved to at this point.

Cleaning out my storage and found a cache of gaming memories. Obviously they will never be used again, however its still incredibly difficult to let go. I just needed to acknowledge that before they are discarded.

Brought out my OLED Switch and for whatever reason I've decided the Legend of Zelda 2: Adventure of Link is the game to get stuck on. The dungeon music is iconic, but this game definitely deserves to be one of the lower ranking Zelda games. Will be playing OoT after to recover.

Because of SGF weekend and my recent marriage update, I'd been dabbling back on my Twitter account. Somehow the algorithm pushed all kinds of toxic viral accounts onto my feed over the past 9 months. Had to go on a muting spree just to make it palatable.

I love these big events like #CB2025, CEO, and EVO because someone always shows up playing a big button big body, or a grappler with insane callouts, and just roflstomps their opponent. And it just validates my 30+ years of archetype loyalty. These players are all my heroes.❤️

I still can't believe I'm about to be playing Soul Calibur 2 online next month on a Nintendo system. I'm too old to be thinking I'm gonna be competitive amongst elites, but my soul still burns and I can't wait to get back in the ring.

I'm gonna go on record in saying I have absolutely no issue with the cost of the Switch 2 or its games. I will be buying the system for two reasons. 1. My wife wants one and she a big fan of Mario games in general. 2. Soul Calibur 2 GameCube edition with online is on the system.

Broke diet today because Jack brought back my favorite menu item. It was good but definitely not the same with the new sauce. What was once a 9 out of 10 is now a solid 7 until I try it again.

One of our close family friends passed away last night, succumbing to cancer after years of fighting. She leaves behind her husband, whom we've also known since childhood, and two young children. I'm grateful we saw her one more time just recently in positive energy and spirit. Heartbreaking loss.
