Yesterday, @transitpolicebc.bsky.social with our Chief Muir, CSO, and K9 members attended the Flag-raising day to show our support to our Filipino community and in remembrance of the lives lost at Lapu Lapu. It was raining hard, but I only saw big hearts and the indomitable spirit of the community.

One of my highlights from the last little while. I was given the opportunity to speak at two of the many sites from posAbilities. I came to conduct the Transit Safety Workshop, but what I got in return was a series of inspiring stories about resilience and optimism they faced on the transit system!

Words couldn't describe what happened at the Lapu Lapu festival. Many community members had urged for blood donations to replenish the stock used on Saturday's tragedy. This morning, I saw lots of people at Canadian Blood Services with many first-time donors.

Recently, I had attended Indo-Pacific Foundation event, celebrating the cultures of India, China, Korea and the Philippines. When communities band together, they rise up taller than before! Chris Chan of @TransLink was given an award for his work linking communities together! Congrats!

It was a cold and snowy morning for the Chinatown Lunar Parade but it did not dampen the mood for all the participants including our Chief Muir, DCO Fincham as well as our Waterfront CPC volunteers and our CSOs. Got to see so friends from 39 Service Battalion. Great time with @translink.bsky.social

For everyone that has to be out in the roads today, remember to watch your speeds. Also clear the snow from your hood, roof, windows and windshields so you can see your surroundings. Drive safe!

Just got a pleasant surprise from my mail bin today. Just wanted to thank the students from Learn4Independence located at Pacific Autism Family Network for the opportunity to speak with them. The letters made my day!
