Shazam is really promoting its ability to geo-locate and chart music that people identify. As I often need to re-run it 3x or more I note that this infrastructure will be falsely promoting what is the modern version of cover songs. Part of the false charting economies we're being shown nowadays.

Rich guys like Bessent, the US Treasury Secretary claim 'short term pain worth long term security' while not specifying what that 'short term' actually is I'm sure their companies will accept that as my bills come due right? and they dont even say what any long term gain would be.

Note for those that use Ebay that don't like submitting all your data to AI there is a relatively new user setting that you have to turn off. I don't know when it was added, but it does default to allowing them to use your data for AI purposes and you must opt-out if you don't agree. #AI #optout

One of the lists out there one can sign up for here on Bsky is #electronicmusic .. I guess its fine for a general feed but there is very little to do with music, electronic or otherwise. Would be nice if there was some auto filing system for this stuff. 🤷‍♀️

Severely disappointed in @elderscrollsonline.com moving into failure mode. Taking away daily login rewards and challenges known as endeavors that have been fun passtimes for near a decade. All to needlessly 'refocus'. You're taking things that were fun and replacing them with things noone asked for.

@bsky.app It would be a good idea for the 'interests' if one could choose to DISlike an interest so nothing in that group would show up. Then one could avoid things like sports or events that they have no desire for.

About a month ago Google stopped being useable without javascript on which they described as a defense against web scraping. I always thought that was a non-sense excuse.

If I'm looking at something that catches my attention then after a few moments I realize its something like an AI generated GIF, I block that account. Ain't nobody got time for that kind of time waste. If its something neat and you know its AI, at least mark it tag it as such. Thats forgivable.

Social media is dead long live social media! Whats that mean? Monolithic sites like fb/x are filling in with AI where their demographics are weak. Its no coincidence the bots, scams, & increased focus on data mining lockins. At the same time theres Bsky & mastodon et al can thrive if we help.

Well progress on the music production front. I got an old Alesis synthesizer keyboard from a friend. Never messed with it, but seemed to cool to get rid of. Just got it hooked up to my computer and got it to work with the Native Instruments tools I'm learning to produce with. Yay for 'new' toy day!
