We can’t say no to an orphan. And then there were.. a lot of cats. We welcome this little girl to the pack.

Meet Sabrina, one of our AshEboro 3 (yes I spelled it right this time 😆). Lights are on, and she’s a BIG sassy personality. Despite being the smallest of the flock, she’s right up there jumping into exploration and fun

Someone is pleased that the morning routine of breakfast and appropriate snuggles are again provided now that we’re home (they’re getting so biiiig and looking like actual cats!)

It’s official, all the kids hit the 30oz mark, which means we are a GO for the testical festival and ova palooza on the 12th for the big 5! (And yes, I’m so tired of unloading stuff I legit pulled my car up to the door 😆)

Being a little kid is hard. Our two little kids are working on integrating with the uh, flock? (Not sure what we call a gaggle of bebes) our little black kitten is integrating a little easier, but this kid is a little more shy and taking it all in. Some of them just need a little more time

Our sweet, funny moo baby is still looking for their forever home. Snip day is scheduled now for May 🥳 this sweet boy loves everyone and gets along well with the whole crew, and recently found his love for finding the sunshine spot in the morning

Back on the road again to triage a mom and kids, and a fading Bebe. This year we’re trying to do a LOT more training and triage. Our need locally has exploded and the more fosters we teach the better!

We are not sure how we feel about integrating with the big kids

Cats out of the bag. All of our big 5 have dibs called on them so far except for our moo kitty! We are officially opening adoption applications for him today ❤️ (and will not include extra dinner on his face with his adoption)

Welp, time for a bigger bed… and yes, that’s how much food and litter these gremlins track all over night .

Spay and neuter your pets folks. And Godspeed little one. We lost our tiniest of tots this morning around 4. We came in Th with an infected eye but were hanging in there and still eating well until 3 am. We curled up with our stuffy after overnight feeding, and never got back up again.

Carol Baskins does not feel good today. Our eye infection that was almost gone has now turned into a goober ear infection overnight, so we remain in Bebe time out and don’t get friends yet 😞 we also haven’t 💩 in 2 days, so back on 💩 drugs we go. At least she has her emotional support stuffy

And then there were ten. We added another tiny tot, weighing in at a 90g. Little kiddo was orphaned and the finders did a great job of keeping her stable til we could them ❤️ we’ve got a swollen eye with some gunk but once we found our preferred nip size we pounded 4ml like a champ 💪🏼

This is the tired, raccoon eyed, up every 2 hours, haven’t washed my hair in 5 days, in a bathrobe, with a kitten who stepped in poop 😆 but these are the moments that make it worth it when they purr themselves to sleep on ya, and you know they feel safety, and are finally on their way to health

Weaning quest continues. Loud protests rise at the indignity at the humans request for them to use their mouth. Our first transitioned is now deeply offended that anyone else will eat out of the same bowl they did, a new atrocity they are forced to endure.

Well that’s one way to do it. 2 eating with our mouth 2 making half hearted attempts 1 screaming in my face, thankfully we don’t have them so we can’t call the ASPCA on me for inhumane torture

My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard. Yesterday we started milkshakes to transition their bellies, and to prep that we will be leaving bottles shortly. Today we did room temp instead of warm. I feared resistance, but we had little legs thrown in the air and everyone was all in

Sophie is now on the assist for breakfast duty, as we now have one becoming brave enough to wander. Miles is VERY disappointed that I attended to the flock of screaming children before opening his wet food this morning

And then there were 9… the night before training, three wee nuggets. A woman drove across the state to get them to us ❤️ 3 days old, so it’s going to be touch and go for a bit til they fully stabilize, but so far so good, we were very angry at the poking and prodding which is always a good sign

Some kids are not happy about the manditory baths so they can be demo models tomorrow Having live demo kids brings a whole other element to training. I’m grateful for a second year to have live models to teach all the things

Full belly of milkies, and some human snuzzles and we’re out. Someone thought the incubator and the heartbeat stuffy was bullshit, and screamed loud enough for long enough that the human gave into the small terrorist, and apparently she’s coming to work all day.

The season is seasoning already. We welcomed a little orphan girl with full torti tude and a gluttonous hungry belly. She’s got a wee eye infection going on that hopefully we can stay ahead of. We screamed all morning until the human gave in and gave appropriate snuggles.

That look when your foster mom wakes you up and makes you get out of bed for breakfast. These kids slept SIX hours for me tonight, after the last 5 days of up and down every 2 hours because we struggled to get everyone on the same rhythm for eating

And the angels sang. Our eyes are barely open, and 2 can’t fully see right, but we have THREE butts in boxes. Praise all things holy for a brief poo pocalypse (lord knows I won’t get off this easy all year)

WHY ARE WE BEING SO CUTE THIS EARLY. You’re trying to make me so not mad at you that I have to go back to being up all night, and that you screamed at me for almost three hours, didnt want to eat my food because the quality and service sucked 😂

And then there were five. The season is upon us. Orders for vaccines going in the morning, and wishlists will be up tomorrow. So far everyone’s looking not in bad shape. We had a wee difficulty getting the hang of eating, but after a few attempts figured it out. The crew is LOUD & has lots to say
