Late night/early morning musings but: I've always been very uncomfortable with the fandom penchant for treating popular fancreators as celebrities. bnf culture is, at it's heart, incongruous with fandom despite fandom being what created them in the first place. No fan is any better or any less 1/

The best part of fandom is not being part of it ❤️ Just your close circle of friends who decided to be as obsessed as you are It's seriously the best way to retain your sanity as a fan and as a creator.

'Popular' east asian artists had a point where they dropped renaissance level art and just logged off. I think it's currently more sustainable for fandom artists online (who don't make a living off of their art/community) to just drop art and ignore fandom as a whole. Post art + log off quickly

My beyond evil mutuals are on average all over 25 years old, some have full time teaching jobs or corporate jobs, some are new moms. These are the best kind of people in fandom, ones that I surround myself with. I'm glad beyond evil generally attracts a mature fanbase at least 😭
