Ground was dry enough, so I finally got pictures of all my recent finishes! First up is a National Parks version of Snaphappy from Pen + Paper Patterns #quiltsky

Its happening. I’m actually working through my backlog. Trimmed and bound three of the six quilts this week that I’ve had on my floor for like a year. Now we wait for the snow to melt and the ground to dry so I can take their pictures. #quiltsky

Welp I was going to finish cutting out my Skylight quilt top, but I discovered I shorted myself a whole half yard of background fabric and the store opens after the new year. But, I did finish basting the hexies for section 3 of Alchemy! #quiltsky

Finally finished the matchstick quilting section of this quilt. I am not the biggest fan of the technique as its both time consuming and tedious, but I do love the resulting texture. #quiltsky

Work is still progressing on my custom quilting project, but what kind of quilter would I be if I only had one project going at a time?? This one has been sitting for a while and I’m super excited to finally have time for it!!

Officially back in my studio for the next while! Still recovering from jet lag, and processing that the opera that consumed my life since last November is finally done. Currently working on a Christmas commission, and as always have several personal projects on the docket. #quiltsky

So I just finished this quilt that I got as a kit (called Color Box I think??) and I actually like the top a lot more with the quilting than I thought and of course I paired it with the stash buster special back… bummer #quiltsky

Finally sitting down and finishing some decorative binding I started back in May because sometimes you have to let a quilt sit until it annoys you enough that it is not done and then you can do it. #quiltsky

Working on a Charlie Harper quilt, and love the fabrics, but I am stumped on the layout. Like this feels a little too muddled to me, but I’m not sure how to improve it, so feel free to chime in in the comments. #quiltsky

And I’m back from two weeks in Tokyo!! Had an amazing time, found some Liberty fabric, picked up a cross stitch kit for the first time, and am taking a slight detour into making myself proxy pokemon cards because the art in TCG pocket is too stunning for just digital. #quiltsky #craftsky #pokemon

The first pieces are coming together! I find that I am enjoying the processes of thread basting and stitching a lot more than I thought I would. I think being able to sit outside helps. #quiltsky

Good news: figured out where the mysterious bits of plastic that I kept finding on my cutting mat came from Bad news: they were from my rotary blade, which is now broken. And I don’t have time to go out and get a new one until Monday #quiltsky
