I'm still in the green at 37k miles, and expect to replace them in the next year or two, but warranty is 6 years to 2/32nd...

I think the issue here is assuming this isn’t an intended result of poor engineering, like burning people to death in teslas because they least viable option costed out mechanical releases on the main handles like everything else. This is literally all musks properties.
