If I had kids they’d probably be addicted to Roblox or Fortnite and that’s a disappointment I’m glad I avoided.

The new god of war game looks weeeeird. But the combat is right up my alley. Looks fun at a minimum so I’m in. They didn’t put a date on it so 2028 at the earliest. Otherwise they would have said 2027.

I'm skipping this new Yoshi game it's just not for me. That's perfectly ok, I'm just sad because I like the Yoshi games and I didn't get one this time lol. But for kids, and puzzle fans I'm sure you're happy.

Just finished season 2 of Devil May Cry. Really gets good in the second half. Overall enjoyed it. My only real gripe is Vergil is not quite right. His lust for power is there, but he's not as conniving as he should be. He lets things happen too much when he should be pulling the strings.

Well at long last The Boys is finally over. I'd say the last two eps wrapped things up nicely. Different from the comics but who cares, they did their own thing it worked for the show. Very inconsistent series overall though. Season 1 and 5 were probably the best imo.

With 1 more episode left of The Boys I’ll say it’s been a good last season so far, but some complaints I have is Starlight has been so useless the entire show. She got her first ever kill I think last ep? Their big plan feels aimless, with 1 ep left to flesh it out I have doubts.

The more time moves forward the more I realize there was at least half the US rooting for the antagonists unironically in Django Unchained.

I had a dream where I itched my butt. Woke up and itched my butt. Dreams really do come true.

I am so excited for Saros. Returnal is still my favorite game this gen and I’m sure I will love this game.

Lately I’ve been watching disaster movies rooting for the disaster.

Saw Dream Scenario last night, excellent movie. Loved it. Nicholas Cage can still act his butt off.

Spent the last 3 nights playing Mario Golf 64z I have no idea why, but it was a great time. Also made way more progress than I did as a kid. The CPU absolutely cheats lol. Nothing a little save scumming can’t combat though. Still challenging as the save scumming isn’t fool proof.

I played through High On Life 1 and 2 in the last 2 weeks and they were both great. The second one needs some polish though as the game kept crashing. Luckily it has a very active checkpoint system so it didn’t matter too much, but I haven’t had games crash on me that much recently.

The new Mario Tennis ranked is INTENSE.

Got one of those all button controllers for fighting games for the fun of it. I was shocked how quickly I acclimated to it. Then as hour 4 rolled in I started just failing to do easy stuff like my brain reverted lol! It's good fun, but the controller did randomly disconnect which concerns me....

Chuck Norris’s politics were abhorrent. But I grew up watching Walker Texas Ranger with my dad, and those are memories I cherish. So, overall I am sad to hear of his passing today.

Spent a good chunk of my weekend in the VR app called Arcade Time Capsule. It’s a free app you can find on Discord and it’s easily the best VR experience I’ve ever had. I’ve played it off and on for a year and it always takes me back to a better time, and gives me that zen feeling I need.

We are likely living in the worst timeline right now....unless there's a timeline where we didn't figure out what caused the bubonic plague and how to prevent it.

Spent the morning doom scrolling about how AI will take my job. And even if it doesn’t and the AI bubble bursts it will take our economy with it. Sooo yeah pretty much I feel like I’m in a no win situation.

I pre ordered Nioh 3 with Nioh 2 still in my backlog. I clearly have an impulse control issue.

I beat Wuchang the other day. Really enjoyed it overall. Story didn’t make a lick of sense but it was fun to play. Of course I got the bad ending, didn’t care YouTubed the good one lol.

I’m getting increasingly tired of my YouTube feed with videos about Trumps health decline with sensationalized titles. Once he’s finally gone I’m going to be desensitized by the headlines and not enjoy it as much lol.

I regret booking up my Steam Deck to my TV. As if I needed more choice paralysis.

With the way AI is gobbling up everything computer related (ram, memory, etc) Sony and Microsoft should just hold off on their plans for a next gen console unless they expect us to pay $1,000+ for their next systems.

Finally got through Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. Man what a great game. Top to bottom perfection for an Indiana Jones game. That said, I'm not sure it's a game "for me" if that makes sense. Like, I'd take any shmup, JRPG, or beat em up over it. Still, 10/10 if this is your style game.

My local game store sucks sometimes. Their Black Friday deal was 3 games under $10 for $10. I went during my lunch break and knew of 1 game I wanted for sure, grabbed that and 2 more. I wait 40 mins in line only to be told the game I wanted they couldn’t find in the back. This happens too often…

So, I am worried about AI taking our jobs, but my current ire at AI is taking all the PC parts that make up my video game hobby spiking the prices of everything to obscene levels. All so rich people can make money off of copyright infringement and firing as many people as possible.

God of War Ascension gets a bad rap. It’s a fun game, better than 1 arguably better than 2 imo. 3 is still my favorite from the originals or Chains of Olympus I replayed that one like 8 times.

The new Frankenstein movie is amazing. Easily the best film I’ve seen in years. So many movies lately I watch and the next day I can’t even recall what I saw. This has stuck with me though which is a good sign.

Finally got around to seeing Nobody 2. Loved it no notes.

I may be an atheist but I gotta say, nothing satisfies me more than watching pastors debate Christian nationalists and point out just how anti-Jesus they are.

I finished Trails of Cold Steel 2 over the weekend. Still waiting for the story to be compelling…the characters really have no conviction. They cry over a guy trying to end the world just because he was a former classmate, and everyone is way too casual with each other. There’s no tension at all.

I finally saw the last two Mission Impossible movies as I was waiting on the 4K physical to arrive of the last one. They were….fine I guess? I think my biggest complaint is they didn’t have a good villain. Cruise on his own is fun to watch doing stunts but the story was so uninteresting overall.

Microsoft is insane thinking $30 a month is ok for gamepass. That works out to 6 fully priced games per year that you can keep. Their monthly output of those kinds of games isn’t even that high let alone you’d have to have interest in all of them to make that worth it.

I will never understand the people who downvote a game over "censorship" like....who cares? Oh this anime character has a little more clothing on than in another region....game is bad! lol. I may be wasting my life but nowhere nearly as much as these people at least.

The Batman Quest VR game is fantastic. But I think an underrated feature is you can make shadow puppets and it’s hilarious.

Really enjoying Borderlands 4 but I can’t be the only one that completely tunes out when they start doing story bits. I just can’t bring myself to care.

Finished Stellar Blade last night. Really enjoyed it overall. The end felt a little rushed but that’s my only nitpick.

I dunno about the new Kirby Air Riders. I still vividly remember the GameCube one. Getting it on Xmas, playing it that day and seemingly doing everything the game had to offer in a few hours and being like that’s it? Might pass on this which I almost never do for a Nintendo game.
