Said good bye to this boy this morning. Freak heart attack. He was 15 months old. His name is Turmeric, and he was the best golden retriever cat in the whole world. Hug your furbabies <3

Two, because I've been remiss :) Turmeric loves sleeping in my computer chair like this (left), and Allspice needs her Princess Pillow in order to snooze in the red recliner (L) <3 They're spoiled, and I love them!

Don't believe them-- they have another huge bowl of kitty food on the patio... My community cats are just as picky and bossy as my inside cats! They claim they are staaarving!! They are not <3 These three have been TNR-ed-- so ask me if you want to know more about it!

Not kitty photo today, just Superman ice cream. It's a Michigan thing-- delicious, tastes like sugar and vaguely fruity, reminds me of my childhood <3 We got it from a Michigan-centric store in Mesa, of all places :) Worth the drive, and we'll go back.

Turmeric wanted to help me work and so took over "mouse" duties :)

Pippin, aka Pippers, is peeking out of the cubby. She's my tripod, and also has an auto-immune disorder. She's on atopica and flupoxitine, and will be 12 very soon! <3 Sometimes cat's health is complicated, but her purrs and snuggles (and bitching!) make it worth everything!

Got two more "Hashbrown" kitties. When I say, "Oh, Finn is a hashbrown!" and he looks at me like that (left) or if I sing 🎶"WindWave is a hasbrown" 🎶 he looks at me like that (right). They both have their best "Whatever Mother" faces on <3

Lullaby was not amused when I told her she couldn't have her food at the kitchen table. She looked at me like this for 5 minutes before harumphing herself out of the room. Ah, torbies <3

Good news everyone! The Vet cleared Mr WindWave! He has 2 more pills to take in his FIP series, but she says his bloodwork and ultrasound are great! He's beaten FIP! 🎉 A little bit about FIP 🧵

Turmeric thinks he's a Hashbrown <3 I won't disabuse him of that notion, because I love hashbrowns almost as much as I love cats!

This is Dinkie-- he's FIV+, sans teefs, and adorable! He's one of my favourite kitties at work, and I call him "My Dinkie Do" because he's perfect <3 He is available for adoption-- as are most of the ~300 kitties in our care.

I love this ginger boy so much! My Turmeric was helping me work, by chewing on junk mail envelopes-- and attacking my mouse, and generally getting in the way <3 Ginger cats are ridiculous and awesome!

When you're warm, so you put one foot out of the bed <3 Turmeric and all the other kitties love snoozing in this carrier, but he needed just a teeny bit of cooling off

The kittens love their new box, who cares if it came with a new safty squat bar for their human Dad, it came with styrene for them to jump on, and cardboard to chew! Hooray boxes!

Allspice loves her red blankie-- you'll see it a lot if you look at my cat photos, it's the "cat's blankie" on my bed. But, she loves nip more, and if you look under her adorable face, you'll see a red and black toy-- it's a "nip blanket", basically a square pocket for catnip :)

The Twins, Finn (back butt elevator) and Bavard (front butt elevator) decided their Dad needed to give them attentions Right Now! Saffront-- the calico on the left was trying to decide what Mum should make for dinner out of the Betty Crocker cookbook <3

Did you know cats can develop auto-immune disorders, just like humans? It's harder with cats, as the testing is brutal, and you often don't have any real answers at the end. This is Pippin, in June 2021. 🧵

This is Teak, one of the kitties at the shelter I work for. He's an office cat, meaning he rules over the Admin office. He's also on meds for a sensitive tummy-- did you know cats can get fecal transplants? They also deal with IBS/IBD... just like humans. #AdoptDon'tShop

No kittens yesterday because my own kitten (who is 25!) had her first kitten at 10:20am! Serious though: my daughter and her daughter are fine, and should go home today! Hooray!! So have some ginger kittens to celebrate <3
