Yesterday was the 5th anniversary of Rise of the Resistance at Walt Disney World. I got to go to the opening & cover it thanks to @maxevry.bsky.social Wanted to do more of this sort of theme park/pop culture journalism through comics but then the pandemic happened. Oh well! 1/5

Just saw Wicked. Went in cold, never seeing the musical, only knowing the basic story, the two big songs and… Wow. Also wasn’t expecting the undertones (overtones really?) of fascism. It hit right in the damn gut in this current political climate.

Binging both Golden Girls and Twin Peaks if you’re wondering about my current mental state

Okay…thinking BlueSky will be where I go when I wanna feel happy and normal (as much as you can these days). Threads (I’m ghostcarpress over there) will be where I go when I wanna feel sad, hopeless, and need to vent about our new political hellscape.

Between Threads and Bluesky, I think this place feels better? It almost has the same feeling as Twitter circa 2012? Sucks to have to rebuild my community, but such is life.
