I suspect that Amber wanting her parents at her wedding is part of reality dawning. She isn't really the glamorous rebel, who runs off to marry her bad-boy without a backward glance. She's a nice girl, who's trying to work out how to construct a silk purse from her sow's ear. #TheArchers

It goes against the grain but I'm finding myself feeling very sorry for George. It must have been tough to find that even Amber doesn't trust him and it sounds as if he's right about her getting cold feet. A rather depressed ex-con isn't nearly as glamorous as a boyfriend in prison. #TheArchers

Surely Tom and Helen should be discussing the possibility of George working at Bridge Farm with Tony and Pat, even more than Alice, as they'd be the ones overseeing him. #TheArchers

Given David's history as the local NFU rep, along with his, and Ruth's, assorted projects cooperating with other farms, such as Hassett Hills, and with how close a neighbour Mulligan was, I find it surprising that David didn't even know his name. #TheArchers

I do hope that Stella knows that she's taken her new job and that tonight's surprise isn't her approaching Brian to say that Cleo needs her and please can she have her old job back, after all! I'm not sure Brian, let alone Adam or Ruairi, would have heard about Sunday's wobble. #TheArchers

Alice really doesn't sound happy either with the idea of Adam and Ruairi taking over the farm or with them joining her birthday lunch. #TheArchers

Why did Alistair arrange to meet up with an old friend, for lunch, on a weekend when he's on call? He must have known that it was all too likely that he'd be called out. #TheArchers

What kind of employer, looking for someone to fill a senior, consultancy role is going to expect their preferred candidate to start work less than a week after the interview. Most half way decent candidates will have to work a notice period of at least a month. #TheArchers

I think Stella and Ruairi could make a good partnership. Ruairi is keen to learn the farming side but seems aware (at least at the moment) that he has a lot to learn. His business training may be useful in looking for new contracting clients and fresh income streams for Home Farm. #TheArchers

I do hope George isn't in an open prison. If he is, I could see him taking unofficial leave of absence, in order to go to visit Bartleby, and finding that, as a result, he won't be allowed out in time for his party in a couple of weeks. #TheArchers

Yes Lily, you did mess up. In the days when I was involved in such shows, we would have had signs, and stewards at the entrance to the tent making clear that only competitors were allowed in, while setting up. There would then have been a strict no entry sign, during judging. 1/ #TheArchers

I'm disappointed in Freddie and, to a lesser degree in Lily. I thought he'd grown up, over recent months/years and was better than that (I was less surprised about Lily though). I was expecting him to speak out and to shoulder the blame. #TheArchers

A large element of its popularity is that it's been running for over 70 years. A lot of us have been listening, on and off, all our lives and it's part of the backdrop for our lives. The characters may, frequently, irritate us but they're people we've known them all their lives. #TheArchers

I'd have thought that one basic thing, which would be put up every year, at all the farms taking part, would be posters and/or flyers advertising all the other farms in the area which are taking part. A lot of their visitors would be interested to see different styles of farm. #TheArchers

I had thought that Arthur was probably legit. Until Justin commented on how patently honest he was, when my opinion changed and I now have little doubt that he's a wrong'un. Is Justin going to be persuaded to volunteer with his "charity", only to discover it doesn't exist? #TheArchers

Another thing which baffles me is the ongoing mystery over Peggy's will. I know her executor isn't obliged to show the will to her family, but the secrecy seems very artificial. Surely they would have shown it to Lilian, Tony and Brian when they told them what was left to the family. #TheArchers

We've heard a lot, since Peggy died, about how much time both Lilian and Kate spent visiting her. If this was really the case, it seems surprising that they appear to have been oblivious to Peggy's friendships with either Crispin or Arthur. #TheArchers
