I had my 30 day evaluation today and got a satisfactory rating from my supervisors. Time really flew by. i'm still learning a lot as I go but it's nice to know that my supervisors think i'm doing very well so far.

I passed all of my training requirements today and am officially off of training as of tonight :) kinda scary but exciting too. I just hope I don't screw up somewhere.

Today was real work. Had to deliver a load to daytona beach. Got the delivery done and went back for another load. It was interesting going past the speedway while the thunderbirds were practicing their fly bys. But the job itself is going well. I still have more training to do before i'm alone.

So today was training day on the hydralic liftgate and loading/unloading properly. AKA lets see just how out of shape I really am. Boy I tell you, i'm really badly out of shape and I had a really hard time doing what needed to be done but I did my best. I hope that over time i'll get better.

well good news today... I got my start date for new job! happy dance!

wow the next step in my hiring process is taking FOREVER. i'm getting anxious all over again about missing an email or something and getting left out in the cold once again.

well I suppose I can say it now. I got accepted for a job with the US Postal Service. I've gone through the initial steps already and i'm waiting for the next steps to be told. I Don't know where i'll be working yet. I'm hoping the next, paying steps will come quickly :)

Wow I can't believe I slept in for 24 hours. slept right through with a few bathroom trips as needed but man I SLEPT! I feel so much better now too. I guess my body needed a reset.

well with paying the rent and bills for this month i'm officially flat broke. I need to find a job soon or i'm going to be in real trouble. someone please call me back... the new year is over.. get working on the applications I put in!

Had an interview this morning and they said I did not pass one of the personality tests I took so they would not be able to hire me on. I feel this world is going to hell with all this AI driven crap running how people get hired today. I have plenty of qualifications but AI says nope. :(

so I tried to get on to VRC last night but my graphics card tanked big time... looks like i'm going to have to upgrade ... *looks... $800!!! ...... *faints

man what a miserable end of year i'm having. My brakes on my car failed because of a vacuum sensor going bad. thankfully I could still stop but it took some effort... pretty dangerous. I went to the dealer and got it fixed but with the diag and part n labor it cost me $700 of money I don't have. :(

I went to see the dr this morning about my injury and it's apparently healing well but since it was so deep it'll take a while longer to heal properly. They're putting me on an antibiotic to be safe and that should help the swelling. At least it's getting better instead of worse

geez 2 1/2 months with no job and it's getting to the point i'll be totally broke in just a few weeks. I was hoping to have been back working by now but I don't know why I can't get a reply from any of the applications i've sent in. Believe me i've sent in a LOT too. WTF people

GOt home from #WFCP sunday afternoon and by sunday night I was miserably sick. Monday was fever chills and coughing my brains out for 24 hours. Tuesday was get sleep and break fever. Today i'm still somewhat congested but not nearly as bad as I was. Plus My appitite came back big time.

Just got home from #WFCP and man I had fun. It was really nice seeing friends again. I did get hurt pretty badly Friday morning but i'm recovering. Thanks to everyone who helped me and asked how I was doing it's greatly appreciated. Hope to see everyone again soon :)

so... dr says my knees are hurting so bad because of arthritis... not much can be done for it but OTC meds and stretching/excercise my driving days may very well be over

well now I have to go and find some work somewhere. I really don't know what i'm going to do now. I am going to have to see a dr about my knees and hopefully i'll be able to get that cleared up.

Well, I quit. I screwed up so badly yesterday that I knew I wasn't going to make it through the training. My knees are hurting so badly from the terrible seats in the busses it's really hard to walk. I'm going to have to do something about this problem before I move on with something else. :(

finished up third day of driving. OMFG busses are no joke man, they're like big boxes on the road that no one pretends to see. I'm still anxious about testing and i'm really trying hard to get things right. This is so hard when it triggers my anxiety.

So starts week number two of training. Was able to drive in real world conditions today and did "exceptionally well" according to my instructors. Some minor habit breaking needs to be done but otherwise went well. The pre trip is a beast, with so many bullet points and you have to word them exactly!

first day at new job. I swear I never knew there were so many forms that have to be signed. I think I used up half the ink in my pen today. back to it tomorrow, hopefully something more interesting and productive.

I got a new job today... I'm happy and sad at the same time. It's a new career as a coach bus driver, never did this before so the unknown scares me. I'm really sad that I couldn't find another trucking job, the economy is just in turmoil so there's not much to be had in FL.

another month has gone by and I feel miserable. I can't put my finger on exactly why, but a combo of being out of work and depression has me feeling like a bump on a log. It's a terrible feeling and I hate it so much. I have little to no enthusiasm to do anything. please help me

i've been applying to just about every job that I think i'm qualified for and none of them have bothered to call me back. A couple said they were going with other candidates, and the ones I called to follow up with all had BS excuses, like my truck is too old for them but I could lease a new truck..

I just found out that i'm blacklisted for rehire which is going to make my life a living hell for getting any kind of meaningful employment. I Dunno what i'm gonna do now. Money is nearly gone and i'm not finding any reliable prospects anywhere.

well it's official.. i'm flat broke... I have ZERO left in my bank account. I've been looking for work and applying and not gotten a single call back. FL UI says i'm inelegible for benefits so no income now. tanking really bad if both the tourism industry AND the trucking industry aren't hiring.

wow in my looking at trucking companies, most of them don't pay for miles empty, even under dispatch. If you have to travel some time to get a load that all on you. They are just paying flat rate for loaded miles and even those rates are not very good when you account for your costs. this sucks!

still no luck on the job front. I'm looking at so many different career paths where I Could fit but not having any luck yet. Even in trucking, there is a whole gambit of companies that will nickle and dime you to death just because you run under their flag. I really don't know what to do anymore.

Work decided not to renew my contract citing productivity issues which is really stupid when all i did was haul between two facilities. Sounds more like an excuse to thin the herd. Now what am I supposed to do

the week from hell continues... my truck wouldn't start when I got back out to it and the shop looked at it before they closed, said one of the terminals snapped off inside one of the batteries and is shorting out internally. I'll get the battery replaced tomorrow when they open and that'll fix it

I miss my brother he was a big inspiration and support for me and now hes gone. I feel like im mentally collapsing. Like nothing I do matters anymore. I can’t get past the feeling that im all alone in my world now. Hopefully this will pass in time but its a deep state of mind and im shot to hell.

last 24 hours have me mentally drained. Had an accident yesterday, the trailer got off track while blind side backing into a spot and hit the truck in the next spot over. I Woke up this morning with a voicemail on my phone, my older brother passed away last night. :( i'm really gonna miss him.
