Finding my niche in a topic that’s been exhausted before it even fully evolved is exciting work! Is this my path? Just to fill the time until I can quit my job and live from my non-AI assisted creative writing, of course 😏

I just finished the first draft of my manuscript. I’m kind of light headed and my hands hurt from typing. Now to revise into infinity. Luckily my deadline is only early next week and an international friend is visiting over the weekend. It’s fine. I’ll be fine. Right?

Current word count for today: 2835. Impressed by myself. And I have 2,5 hours of unterrupted writing time ahead of me. If I can keep myself focused, that is.

Today's word goal: 5.000 I think 2.500 is more realistic, considering it's a race day, but we'll see how it goes.

A couple of days later than my usual tradition start-of-the-holiday annual read. I cannot recommend this book enough. If you want to know what working in higher education is like… this hilarious, satirical book is uncomfortably close to the truth.
