We are pleased that the review has recognised that the current national curriculum is outdated and overloaded, and that the volume of content in the curriculum must be appropriate for the teaching time that is available. https://bit.ly/3Xdk44V

Today, the NEU and ASCL announced their formal support of our legal action against Ofsted and its proposed new framework. In a show of clear public support, both unions have agreed to provide witness statements and will support NAHT’s judicial review going forward. https://bit.ly/4hwiO6y

We urge the govt to support local authorities to maintain staffing and resources in schools with falling rolls. This could build capacity for greater SEND inclusion, enable schools to offer smaller classes and more targeted help, and reduce workload for school staff. https://bit.ly/4niIbty
