Researched this one recently: Through their first 21 games, the #CBJ were one of only three teams to play five back-to-backs in the opening quarter of the season. The others: Capitals, Mammoth. The other 29 played fewer. The Jackets are the only team that's flown after each back-to-back opener.

Big win for the #CBJ but they actually lose positioning in the Metro on tiebreakers. They were fifth before the game, now sixth behind the Capitals, who routed the Canadiens 8-4. Islanders also crushed the Red Wings 5-0 and behind the Jackets, the Flyers won too. Metro log jam.

Better period in the second for the #CBJ ... but still not great. What was great was scoring two goals and getting the lead. Now, will they sit on their heels again in this third? We'll find out soon.
