On a day off work, when I was in London a few weeks ago, I took the Northern Line about as far south as I could and then went for a walk, and found another pair of Kingfishers. The female seemed to be fine with being photographed. #birds

After Peregrines and Kingfishers, I went to Richmond Park in Glasgow to see what I could see. As I left there to head for the train home, Otter popped up to give me a good hard stare as I crossed the River Clyde.

After the Peregrines, I headed to the West End of Glasgow. Our regular male Kingfisher, pictured left, wasn't in his usual spots. It took a while to find him because he was busy chasing up and down the Kelvin with a female friend, pictured right at midday. #birds

Spent the day in Glasgow today and ended up photographing all of my 'big three' Glasgow species within 2 miles of where I started. First up, Peregrine falcons at the City Chambers around 9am. The male arrived at the nest box and the female, L7 or 'Bonnie', left for a short flight. #birds

When I visited Battersea Power Station last week, this Peregrine was on the nest box, alone. At 16 years old and without a mate when other pairs already had eggs laid, it seemed possible her breeding days might be over. I'll have an update in a few days when I sort more photos. #birds

Female Peregrine L7 in Glasgow City Centre, Friday 5th March. She'd just dived from above the City Chambers to take a pigeon, then landed on a roof with it, but after a struggle the pigeon got away. That's when I arrived with the camera: missed all the action! #birds
