Mostly photos of things, mostly from around the Glasgow area.
I stopped for a minute to look down to the River Kelvin from a bridge in Kelvingrove Park in Glasgow and Crow came to check me out. Think it was disappointed I didn't have any snacks to give but still posed up for a few snaps before flying off.

A Kingfisher stand-off by the River Kelvin in Glasgow. The adult male on the left here, sitting on a branch giving an aggressive display to another Kingfisher who sits a couple of feet away in the same tree. The bird on the right has the darker-coloured feet of a juvenile.

Nothing happens in this video. Just 40-odd hi-res, slo-mo seconds of a young Heron getting ready for whatever the day may bring. No sound. At Richmond Park in Glasgow.

Some birdy artworks around Glasgow. Great Blue Heron and Eastern Bluebird, neither of which you'll bump into IRL at Trongate; signage for Kentigern's includes the 'official' Glasgow bird, the Robin; and Kingfisher on Candleriggs. Maybe best not hunting for Kingfishers after curry and beers.

In Edinburgh briefly on Friday (I crossed over to the other side on Halloween) so walked a couple of miles of the Water of Leith. Trout from Glenogle Place bridge; Dipper at Dean bridge and probably appearing, unnoticed, in hundreds of tourist photos; Heron and Kingfisher behind Modern One.

As we left Leighton Moss at sunset, Robin was minding the side gate and sang to us, demanding tribute. I offered exactly one whole blueberry, which was accepted, and we passed on towards home.

Robin has no regard for minimum focus distance on telephoto lenses. Just as well mobile phones can take a decent snap these days.

A clatter of colour and pattern on this Shoveler duck at Leighton Moss. Not sure what stage of the life/breeding-cycle this one is at - male and maybe 2nd winter?

In the last 10 days I've seen Kingfishers in and around Glasgow at: Linn Park; RSPB Lochwinnoch; Richmond Park; on the Clyde at Glasgow Green and at Dalmarnock; and on the Kelvin near the Botanic Gardens with this one yet again being the only one to sit for photos.

There are Kingfishers to be seen all over and around Glasgow. In the last 10 days i've seen them on the Clyde at Dalmarnock, the Cart at Spean St, the canal at Kelvindale and of course our fairly regular reliable male on the Kelvin below the Botanic Gardens.

A Kingfisher on the River Kelvin in Glasgow. This is not the same bird I've pictured over the last few weeks, this one looks like an adult male. Another Kingfisher landed nearby while I was taking these, but it didn't stay long enough for a photo.

Three days this weekend watching at least three Ospreys on the Clyde, between Erskine Bridge and the Port. Three days of torrential rain showers, soggy boots, useless waterproofs, and under-exposed photos. Good craic still.
