I was too busy with school work to celebrate Trans Day of Visibility. Because of this, instead of celebrating April Fools, I'll just be chaotic and gay and trans tomorrow (and by tomorrow I mean today- I'm tired. I need bed.). Might as well combine the energy of the two.

Been thinking a lot about this bit from Code Monkeys a lot lately. I'm sure there's nothing currently wrong enough with the video game industry that would elicit such a comparison.

I've also come to the realization that the first Pac-Man Championship Edition is honestly pretty mid. Pac-Man Championship Edition DX is much better, but even then I feel like it's not even a top-10 Pac-Man game, despite its long-time status of being "the ultimate Pac-Man game"

I've recently come to the realization that the last actual traditional Pac-Man maze game (that's not some mobile or web browser game) was Pac-Man Arrangement from 2005. And In my opinion, the last good traditional maze game was Pac-Man: Adventures in Time from 2000. This is kind of depressing NGL.

Finally finished the script for the Shadow Labyrinth video and Patrons can read it now. It's 23 pages. The longest script I have ever written.

Hurrican is still easily my favorite fan-game. Even by Turrican standards it is a well designed and quite intense challenge. It measures up nicely against the original games.

At this point, I think it's wiser to split my next video "Pac-Man's Weirdest Birthday" into two parts, one for Shadow Labyrinth and the other for Pac-Man World 2 Repac. The SL portion blew out of control. After both are up, I'll combine the two. It'll certainly keep YouTube happy for once.

Oh man, that last video was exhausting. I should make a shorter video next. Wait... Pac-Man's 45th Anniversary is wrapping up, I should do a video on that. Well, we have two main games to cover this shouldn't be- (One huge rant about Shadow Labyrinth later) What have I done?

Pac-Man World Rally has a deceptively high skill ceiling. If you play your cards right, you can speed boost nearly perpetually. TLDR: Fun boost tech goes wheeeeeeeeeeeee

It's always weird hitting that spot in gamedev where the base game is largely there but the design and structure calls for so much to be put on top of it all. I'm definitely doing something smaller scale after JR2 is done so I don't go insane. #indiedev #gamedev
