One of the problems I face with my research is the time it takes to collect + code data. What makes this process even longer is the fact I can only code small quantities per day because the content is brutally upsetting. Hey #AcademicSky I'm looking for lecturing / fellowship opportunities in the area of human-wildlife relations. Particularly interested in the anthropology of animal trade and #digital #multispecies ethnography.

Today I delivered a class on #ethics and #animal sports to second year undergrads as part of their Animal Behaviour and Welfare degree. I am in awe of the depth of student discussion. It just goes to show that there is space and value to include ethics in vocational/ industry driven courses.

Has anyone else in #academia had a career break owing to an accident? I was struck by a dog a month after passing my PhD viva and now I'm struggling to come to terms with the fact my research journey has abruptly stopped. I have another 9 months recovery ahead of me so can't apply for anything.
