soldiers are mostly young people who want to do something else with most of their life. They generally don't want to live the rest of their lives with the knowledge that they executed an unarmed mom cops want to spend thirty years with the nickname "killer"

I spoke to an expert in authoritarianism, who explained to me that things like this are extremely meaningful and they help protect democracy, even if there’s not a straight line between this and actual legislating

Well… today I have my first DOGE subcommittee hearing along with a Judiciary hearing, all while DC is snowed in! If I had normal coworkers & the country wasn’t going to hell lead by DOGE Douchebags, I’d say, “nothing to see here,” but something tells me, today is going to be pure insanity…

Do you know why a president would do all the most evil and heinous shit via Executive Order? Because his party can't easily make it law. And if they can't make it law, they can't make it last. Don't let anyone make you feel like this is The End. Do not let them demoralize you. Live to see them die.
