Wacky Weekend! Some of our new patients this weekend included a couple of non-related bats. One being a Silver bat and the other a Mexican Free-tail bat. We've had a very busy few days with more orphans, barbed wire entanglements, dog & cat attacks. A few more lucky souls in care and sadly some now resting over the rainbow bridge. And another microbat pup reunited with its mum and roost. Pictured is Telopia, another baby rescued off powerlines.

Last Friday, I got a call for orphan no.8, but this one was a little different! This is an Eastern Tube-nosed bat and a very rare orphan to have in care. Only a small handful have been raised from this age and a first for me! Unfortunately, she was found clinging to her dead mum in someone's yard.
