Shifting food pantry operations to be more shopper-centered through feedback and open communication, has been shown to benefit shoppers, volunteers, and the community.

Native communities and organizations in Minnesota are actively working to reclaim access to healthy, culturally significant foods through initiatives like indigenous food distribution and youth education programs.

TEFAP is essential to many of the food shelves in the state. As we gathered today for the Make Hunger History Summit this topic is one that was important to gather and learn about together.

At today's healthcare focused panel, we discussed the importance of nutrition and the close connection of food to cultures and communities across generations.

At our first panel of the day, we are having an open conversation and deep dive into the new data we discovered with our Statewide Hunger Study and ways we may be able to use this data to address hunger throughout Minnesota.

A we know there is a future where everyone in Minnesota has the food they need to thrive. This goal that belongs to all of us, and it’s going to take all of us to get there.

New data from the Statewide Hunger Survey shows us that 1 in 5 Minnesota households are food insecure.

We are kicking off the day here at the Make Hunger History Summit. This room is full of hunger relief partners and leaders from food shelves and programs that serve our neighbors in need.
