As of today, I've decided to stop making art using square pixels. I've taken some inspiration from the field of engineering, and decided to use triangles because they're one of the strongest geometric shapes. My pixel art can now withstand tons of force! #art #PixelArt #ドット絵 #イラスト

I have to say, just following a couple game devs and immediately my feed became 100% more interesting than the previous hell hole, and with a lot less insane ads. I like it. 👍

Last week got laid off and this week got my ass kicked by COVID and can barely breath… please allow me update the old saying from “when it rains it pours” to “when it rains, it hurricanes”.

The other day I lost my AirPods! But thanks to the Find My app, and the option to make them do noise and vibrate, I was able to find them with 3% phone battery. It took me almost 1 hour to realise I had lost them. I was extremely relieved, these are expensive but this function alone is worth it! 😮‍💨

Yesterday’s Gamescom for me was amazing, had great meetings, met inspiring people, and enjoyed some really fun side events. It’s a great way to start any event! I’m also very happy and proud to see Kokku’s booth within the Portuguese Pavilion. 💙

My plane to Cologne is very late. At least I found some friends on their way to Gamescom!

Almost done with all these intense meetings, random encounters, and the many overlapping events! But I’ll need to quickly fly to the airport right after, so I won’t be able to say goodbye to everyone. One thing before I go: Why does everyone at Develop keep asking if I’m a seagull? Please stop! 😭

How do I keep finding great parties and side events at Develop:Brighton? I just follow the flock of game devs and I always end up somewhere cool full of amazing people!

Wow, what a night! Sadly I’ve got to be a responsible adult and rest to be ready to start pitching tomorrow morning at the Games Finance Market, but it’s so many talented people around it’s overwhelming! Plus the place was full of great friendly faces! 💙

Getting things ready to pitch like a madman at the #GamesFinanceMarket tomorrow! This event works really well for me. It's efficient at joining studios with opportunities, at an affordable price and accessible location within Europe. Speed dating publishers/investors is a fenomenal ice breaker.

Guess where I went today, PAX East! Boston is gray, cold and wet, so no tourism for me, but had some nice food at a dinner. =)

I met @jmechner.bsky.social at GDC, the whole trip was already worth it! Also found out about a new Portuguese dev, check out Rafael Gonçalves and his game made in Godot called Stunt Xpress!

Yesterday was the opening of the expo area, and officially the 1st year there’s a Portuguese booth at GDC, amazing to see it finally happen, kudos! Had a fenomenal chocolate cookie, and saw seals at sunset. An incredible day. Last day for me today, time for more B2B meetings! 💪
