One of the most fun parts of being a developer is when you look at your old code, can't understand any of it and think to yourself "how did I come up with this." It is always an interesting mix of ingenuity and stupidity.

One lesson I've learned in music that you can also apply to game design. Repetition legitimizes. Found a fun gameplay idea? Repeat it several times in your game. I tend to always come up with something new when it is more fun to just repeat the simpler idea again and again. #gamedev

A post that I shared on Facebook in my local community unexpectedly blew up with hundreds of likes. Actual conversion to wishlists could be higher but people in my country don't normally buy Steam games. The main takeaway is that local promotion is very effective for indie devs.
