Having lunch at a Michelin starred restaurant in Quebec City. The next table informed the restaurant that they only had 30 minutes. It has taken slightly longer, so one of them has pulled out a laptop and is working at the table.

The weather just gets stranger. Toronto had a heat advisory Monday and yesterday (temperature adjusted for humidity more than 30 C) and now there is a frost warning tonight for areas just north of the city.

It is trillium weekend, but too early for spruce tips, so no new spruce tip gin this year.

I won’t post the result as it would be a spoiler, but there is a spectacular fail by NYT ConnectionsBot this morning when assigning possible descriptions of wrong answers.

I just spent several minutes explaining that it was not possible that the last maintenance on my 2013 car could not have been performed in 2011.

Tuesday night movie. I was not really expecting the fever dream intensity as the movie drew to a close. I think I need to watch it again.

It seems I have won an “award”… provided that I make a payment to get included in the list of winners. It is apparently “a great way of commemorating [my] award success at a competitive price”.
