I'm at my junior player's tournament in the south. It's hot. She had a hard time last week in the north during the heatwave getting partners to play in the heat was difficult. They all went to the air conditioned club... So they were training on supplemental oxygen. #climbing #mountaineering

This morning I stepped outside, far from the Adirondacks of my childhood summers, and pleasant of memories came back, triggered by the dew and smell of pine. It was also overcast, which if I were actually surrounded by mountains, I couldn't see them. So for now, I believe they're here.

It's satisfying to have actual newspaper in my bag, for a moment. It might be merely pleasing memories from pre-digital days. That time was not actually simpler, but they were more tactile and there was more accountability, like having an editorial board declaring "This is what *you* need to know."
