Today we came together as a community to honor the lives lost on September 11, 2001, and to pay tribute to the courage of the first responders and the resilience of our nation. It was a solemn reminder of both the tragedy of that day and the strength we find when we stand united.

Today, I joined Speaker Carl E. Heastie and Assemblyman Al Stirpe of the Micron Cleanroom Simulation Lab, currently under construction at Onondaga Community College. We also had the chance to hear from current and former OCC students, whose stories and enthusiasm were truly inspiring.

I had such a great time at the Juneteenth Parade today! It brought me so much joy to see so many familiar faces and to celebrate this powerful day surrounded by community. Wishing everyone a joyful week of Juneteenth celebrations! ✊🏾❤️💛💚

It was great to see advocates here at the Capitol supporting my bill, A.6648 that would ensure fair standards in mental health care, strengthening the law to make sure medically necessary treatments are covered and making sure approved treatments cannot be retroactively denied.

We were thrilled to be a part of Empower Parkinson’s ribbon cutting ceremony for their new Wellness Center in Liverpool. This will bring a great deal of hope and better days for so many living with Parkinson’s disease.

This week, I was honored to host our annual Women Veterans Celebration at the Capitol in Albany—a powerful tradition that holds personal meaning for me as a veteran. Thank you to the incredible women who attended and the amazing organizations that came to support them.

Today marks the 81st anniversary of D-Day, a turning point in history when brave Allied forces stormed the beaches of Normandy to defend freedom and democracy. We honor the courage, sacrifice, and unwavering determination of the heroes who fought on June 6, 1944.

Ever struggle to cancel expensive subscription services? It’s a drag. I helped pass a new “Click to Cancel” law that will require subscription services to provide simple cancellation methods. New Yorkers will now be able to get out of their unwanted automatic renewals with less of a hassle.

Today, in Albany, we attended the Police Officers Memorial Remembrance Ceremony to honor the brave men and women who made the ultimate sacrifice in the line of duty. We are forever grateful for their service, dedication, and courage.

This morning, we attended the Syracuse Police Department's Fallen Heroes Ceremony to pay tribute to officers who gave the ultimate sacrifice in service to their community.

Honored to receive a Distinguished Advocacy Award from the American Cancer Society for my work on biomarker testing & breast cancer screenings. I’ll continue fighting for policies that ensure early detection and treatment are accessible to all.

On Tuesday in the Assembly, we recognized April 29, 2025 as Community Colleges Day in the State of New York! This resolution recognizes the endless opportunities that are made possible through an education at one of the many incredible community colleges in the State of New York.

Our Exceptional Women of CNY Awards is only a few weeks away! We are so excited to celebrate these 10 Exceptional Women on May 10th and are thrilled to have Amy Robbins from 93Q as our emcee!

I heard directly from a patient who had been cured and I hope that our Medicaid services can continue to be leveraged to make life changing treatment an option for the most vulnerable suffering with this debilitating condition.

The Charleston meeting received remarks from HHS Sec. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. While there is much to be concerned about with recent developments at HHS, I ultimately decided with the NCOIL organization to engage in a dialogue regarding recent breakthroughs in treating sickle cell disease.
