That session was a little irritating, think my head just isn't in it right now. Shot more arrows after the score but it was just a mess. Keep having the string hit my index finger on my string hand which is painful... not sure if it's a form issue, equipment issue or both.

First score at 20 lb draw weight ends up being a 240. Not terrible but want more. Irritating that I seem to be so good at getting good scores on my first end but can't replicate that after. Probably an overthinking issue. I need to do, not think about doing.

There are so many other flavours of EV to choose from. Ones that actually have soul. Ones you can power sporting events with even! Ask me how I know. 😉

Got my new, not custom but orthotic fit anyway, shoes today. Feels like walking on clouds.

I was going to go to the range today, but while having lunch out decided I should probably rest a little. Can feel my shoulders are a bit sore from yesterday still. 👏Rest 👏 is 👏 necessary 👏 It's not lazy, it's healthy and avoiding injury/burnout.

Now I'm thinking all over again if I want to try out for the range's competitive program in the fall just for the heck of it. I kinda see myself as like one level below that if that makes sense? But I'm so much stronger both physically and mentally than last year... something to think on.

Tonight I managed to shoot 100 arrows, with a break to do "the song" in the middle of that. Lactic acid dissipated fairly quickly after the song! I think I am acclimating quickly to the increased draw weight.

So volunteering over the weekend also means my face got a good tan. Better come get your big, archer bear while he's still hot out of the proverbial oven!

Feeling powerful today. Archery mostly works the shoulders but I wonder if my arms will see some minor benefits from the increased draw weight too? 🤔

Something else that I forgot to mention earlier, the Armato C3s have a white coat on the front side AND it's metallic. Thinking my next string should be in that bright yellow/green colour... might go nicely with the yellow/blue theme I have going on.

20 lb Armato C3s have been put on the bow, needed to adjust the limb bolts to get the tiller just right. Let's see how this goes.

Day 2, done and dusted. Nearly flawless aside from the storm delay at the end. Those rounds will conclude tomorrow. One. More. Day.

Background info: The archery tournament is taking place on Rugby grounds. We're inside for a lightning delay and rugby guys are walking through here and I just have to act completely normal about this... They look so good in those kits.

So wiped... but we go again tomorrow (tomorrow should be a shorter day).

I'm so exhausted!!!!!!!!! This is worth it though.

So yeah I thought my foot was mostly doing better today but heck right before lying down it was hard to walk on. I'm leaning towards there being a little fracture somewhere. Hopefully the X-Rays get reviewed soon.

So I'm still not 100% sure what is causing my foot issue but I did end up getting x-rays done. Recommended I get orthotics and stay off my feet as much as possible for the next while. Possible that it's a stress fracture or repetitive injury that has flared up.

Updates: 1. My foot is marginally better but still being annoying. About to go get it checked out. Suspecting plantar fasciitis. 2. I got another jersey and it looks so goooood.

Ughhhhh, I think I caused a flare up of a recurring foot injury... right when I'm supposed to be spending a lot of time on my feet later this week. If it doesn't improve today I'll see if I can get an appointment at the clinic tomorrow and have my volunteer duties modified.

What's sitting properly. IDK how to do that.

Archery developments from today: - Got a new arm guard (accidentally split my previous one the other day while putting it on) - Went to see new limbs at the range pro shop. Unfortunately these did not fit my riser due to a manufacturing error. (1/2)
