We didnt even want to stay in tokyo, all but 3 days were supposed to be out in more rural japan. It is what it is i guess 😷

Just a forewarning, which i knew this about universal but not about the smaller reservations, it is very difficult to or plainly impossible to get a refund in japan. Even for medical reasons. So if a reservation can wait, wait.

Thankful i learned some japanese so I could talk to the pharmacy staff, been there about 4 times in the last 12 hours because my fiance is so sick (we think he got it from the flight) and thankful the staff has been so kind and patient with me.we think its a stomach "flu".

I struggle often having both soft and hard light in an illustration. Finding when to use soft and twhen to do sharp light or highlight. I think maybe as the light rounds the corner of the surface it softens?

I find that mapping out lightpaths/shadows is easier before i place the base colors, because then its easier to tell exactly what base colors to put based on the lighting of the environment
